New offer to Pudge

Featured Replies

Various news sources (just go to google news or your fave AP source) indicate the Marlins have now offered Pudge three years and $20 million.

The good news is obviously they are still talking.

Lets see if he finally accepts this one.

Why is it so hard to sign him, he had a great season and won mvp in the World Series. Whats else does he want, more money? He knows we dont have to much money to spend.

Just accept it Pudge!

I'm thinking the same thing...

Why dosen't he just sign already?

Isn't this the same offer we made earlier this week? Guess the Fish are banking on the years being the sticking point.

Because the only other team who really wants him is Baltimore and they want Javy Lopez More.

So than he is prob. gonna stay with us...

So if nobody wants him than why dosen't he sign with us?

and Pudge>Lopez

Yup-Pudge is getting old...so he wants a contract for a large amount of years...

I think his agent is giving him last-minute facts of life. The market is not what they thought it would be. Plus, he'd be leaving his Miami mansion, yacht, proximity to Puerto Rico and Florida no income tax.

If Pudge dosen't take any of our offers than he could get left without a team until march...

doubt it.

doubt it. well than who is going to sign him...and hes not going to get 50 mill. for 5 years... :confused

If he doesn't get any offers, he'll play in Japan...

lol-i think he likes miami better-lol... :)

3 years / $20 mill was the offer we made to him on Webnesday and he rejected...

It was Reported by berandino I think that the marlins made that offer. He is the Same Guy who said the Marlins were close to a deal then...

We wont know the official offers untill some Marlins executive or Boras says it/Them

Will Pudge take anything but the offer that he wants=50 mill. for 5 years?

Its Rumored he Lower his expectations for an Offer to 4 yrs 40 Million

I hope he resigns as much as anyone, but after hearing what his agent had to say the other day...I could care less.
