his primary pitch is the 4 seam.... but yeah you're right he throws a "sinker" too but it doesnt sink very much which is probably why it gets hammered

in terms of hitting he's awful but he's a good defensive catcher and Jose Fernandez likes throwing to him. That's his importance on the team

the problem with him this year especially (-.7 WAR) is that he is hitting so amazingly bad (basically a pitcher's batting line) that his defense isn't making up for it.

I was thinking the same thing about the curve. That's why he's been doing ok so far. I wish he would mix in the changeup more. The fastball is getting timed too easily.

If that was a sinker it stayed way up. The curve is what's keeping him alive so far
