Just is just a thought. We have to trade Enc soon it seems to me (if for no other reason than to sign Vald).

How does this sound?

Enc to Atlanta

Atlanta pays at least part of the Marlins share of Hampton's salary next year.

Doesn't that free up $$$ to add the the money we offered Fudge?

Discuss among yourselves. :deal

most likely the money thing cant happen, last i heard Time Warner wants to reduce payroll so why would they take on a $5 million dollar player AND give us free money...

if he gets traded we are lucky he is at the point where his salary doesnt match production so it may be time for a non tender...

it would be a bonus if we can get anything at all for him... maybe a HAVE team could help out a HAVE NOT with a low level prospect in return.

kinda funny when your WS champ is a HAVE NOT :lol

No one will offer anything for him because of his money he'll command in arbitration and we are going after Guerrero so they'll just wait for us to cut him loose.

The market is so saturated right now that I dont think a team would trade for Enc. Besides, then they would have to go to arbitration with him and risk paying him more money (if my understanding is correct). Teams get a better deal just waiting for him to be a free agent and take their chances then. The Marlins know this too, unfortunately otherwise Enc would be dealt.

The Marlins could, however, package Enc with another more attractive player, like Redman. I just dont know what they would be trying to accomplish though.

Yeah, I don't see us trading Enc. Every team knows we won't offer him arbitration, so if they want him, they can just sign him without giving anything up.

His trade value is zero because the only interest comes from the fact that he's going to be non-tendered.

Um lets see, We have Lowell at third, Gonzalez at short, Castillo at Second, Choi/Conine at first Conine/Cabs in left, Pierre in Center, and Banks/Cabrera/Possibly Guerrero in right.

Who do we stick in right? Cabrerra? He belongs at 3rd or somewhere in the infield.

Im guessing you didnt watch how well he played in the OF

i am the biggest Enc fan there is, but he aint worth the money next year he would make in arby, therefore no team is gonna trade for him....

they will wait till we nontender him

Enc and Red to LA for a prospect?

just a thought...

just thought i would bump that...

LOL
