6/2 Post game

Great win.  Fun game to watch as well.  A little bittersweet because as mentioned, if not for Mattingly/Barraclough, this should have been 6 in a row.

Nice to see the pen do its job for a change.

Bats continue to perform. Lineup finally performing to its potential. Would be nice to get Prado back. Dietrich has not stepped it up and taken advantage of his AB's.

As bad as our pitching has been, surprised to see that when it comes to opposing team batting average against our staff, the Marlins are right there with the Dodgers, Cards, DBacks and Cubs as being among the best in the NL. Which goes to show you that the proliferation of BB's that is the mark of this staff, which is easily the highest in the majors, I think has been the prime destructive ingredient in where this team sits today, 9 games under 500 and on an over 90 loss season pace. Self-destructive and very frustrating to watch numerous walks turn into runs game in and game out. I dare say that without the walk bug-a-boo participation in the wild card race would at least be within the range of possibilities for this team.
