What a sick line-up.

(unknown) is going to be a 2B or 3B that is cheap enough so they can resign Pedro. I suspect Ordonez would bat third, and Bellhorn will bat 9th.

 

IF Millar, Mueller and Ortiz can keep it up, it's equal to the Yanks. Better rotation and defense, though the Yanks have a better bullpen.

 

I don't know what to hope for. They've pushed a fine upstanding player like Nomar away. Schilling has hinted it. Millar said it flat out. I don't know if I want the Red Sox to win this year and suck forever more to have their fans recognize that they made a deal with the devil to win. Or to watch Nomar and the White Sox beat the Red Sox in the ALCS, because Schilling and others ain't getting any younger. The Blue Jays are young and ready to take over the division.

The Red Sox lineup will be the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth best offenses in baseball all by itself if these trades happen and they will have a 1-2 of none other than Pedro-Schilling (which is better than Johnson-Schilling IMO). If they don't break the curse this year, they should be banned from the playoffs until Theo dies.

Nomar going to Chicago will be another Curse..

The 2B/3B for now is going to be Mark Bellhorn, although they may get somebody better and use him as a super-sub. They could also move Muellar to 2B and play Bellhorn at 3B.

I don't like this, and I think we will regret this trade. We won't resign Nomar after this year, and I really don't know how much better if better at all trading Maggs for Nomar and Williamson will make us. I'd almost rather trade Maggs to the Dodgers for young pitching. Although, i'm biased, and obviously don't want to trade Maggs at all, so maybe i'm wrong about this.

according to ESPN, the sox should of had Colon, Pettitte, A Rod, Magglio, Kennedy, Castillo, and Schilling by now.
