August 30, 20251 yr Author Good game notwithstanding, Otto Lopez as the cleanup hitter is certainly an odd choice at best. He's barely an adequate 9-hole hitter and we have him at cleanup.Putting Sanoja out there for shitz and giggles is getting old. I know you want to save a bullpen arm but is there really any negative short or long-term consequences to trotting Seth Martinez out for another inning. May as well have Sanoja put on catcher's gear for an inning, give him a rep at 1B and then you can say he played all nine positions (not sure if he's played RF but think he's done the rest), so you can have a silly headline to deflect from the atrocious on field performance.
