I’m wrong about most things but lord was I right about marlins having very thing pitching depth this year with a bunch of guys on innings limits + no significant FA signings. It was so obvious that if one guy got injured they were toast

It’s the same story every year…

Unrelated mostly but is there any analytical or data reason why the fish always bring the infield in early in games? That was a huge part of 1st inning blow up and isn’t first time happened this year.

It is a paradoxical question that deals with run expectancy and win expectation (win-maximizing decision). Without getting into the math, those two are not completely correlated to each other and can even go in different directions. The analytics say it is the correct decision to maximize winning the game, so I assume that is why they are utilizing it.

Game was too early to watch, so I watched Pensacola instead. Our approach at the plate at the MLB level continues to be atrocious and frustrating.

Thats not true we were very good at SP last year and projected be top 10 this year! 😁

Someday they'll learn they don't have as much depth as they think lol.

I believe they trade those SPs just because they don't want to pay them.
