Which presidential candidate would you vote for...

Funny Alkazoid.

Edwards and Kerry both beat Bush in Polls taken by CNN/Gallup and no other democratic candidate did.

Notice the picture at the bottom of my sig? Thats not photo shopped its from Edwards website (hit properties on it)

Also 2 out of the Top 4 Dem. Cand. have taken more Special Interests money then Edwards, (Clark and Kerry).

And you really don't seem to be up to your politics, without Special Interests and Lobbyists there is no political campaigns, there is no politics period.

Everything is now unfortunately funded by Special Interests and Lobbyists, Republicans, Democrats, Independents all do it.

Edwards has a $20 million war chest, only $150k of it is from Special Interests and Lobbyists, and all of that 150k is from fellow Lawyers (individual lawyers not entire groups or firms)

Please look over your facts better then you have so far, unless your just cooking up numbers to try and look good.

Au contraire, the problem does not arise from those who take special interest money. No no no, the problem is those who take special interest money and then turn around and speak against it. That isn't nice.

Main Entry: hyp?o?crite

Pronunciation: 'hi-p&-"krit

Function: noun

Etymology: Middle English ypocrite, from Old French, from Late Latin hypocrita, from Greek hypokritEs actor, hypocrite, from hypokrinesthai

: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion

- hypocrite adjective

Interesting poll Phlubs... It gives me hope!

Like someone named DasTexan said once: ABB (Anything but Bush)

its actually anyone but bush.....

but an inaminate object would probably do better. :rofl

:mischief I like Bush!

He's given hope to the mentally retarded. No matter how dumb you are... You can still run for president!

What a man! :mischief

lol... actually, kerry beat bush in the poll. statistically, edwards tied with bush because of the small sample size of the poll (the raw data was 49-48 edwards). at this point, anyone who hasn't had mud slinged on them can tie bush in polls.

however, in the state of north carolina, bush outpolls edwards. that is what i meant when i said, "edwards can't even beat bush in polls taken IN HIS HOME STATE." playing the "southern card" won't do you much good if you aren't even strong enough to win your home state, as al gore can attest.

don't worry, i'm not a mean guy, so i'm not going to jump you for those statements.

let me refer you to:

my explanation:

http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...showtopic=13611

a political watchdog organization that monitors who gets money from whom:

http://www.opensecrets.org

a new york times article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/31/politics...&partner=GOOGLE

and one more article about edwards, the hypocrite:

http://www.nationalreview.com/lowry/lowry200401270836.asp

they all take special interest money, but no one falsely claims innocence as much as edwards does. kerry is his runner-up in hypocrisy.

yea Edwards would not win NC and probably wouldn't win any of the south if he gets the nomination. Most people here don't really care for him. Its a conservative stronghold. :D

Alkazoid its almost my job to put a positive spin on things for Edwards,

because I'm Coordinating some campaign functions for John Edwards in the Chippewa Valley Area in Wisconsin. Such as recruiting volunteers on the ground door to door, making phone calls, joining up with other supporters, etc., etc.

For those who don't believe me, please call Wisconsin Campaign Director John Kraus (608-238-6267)

So its really my job to get a positive spin on the Edwards campaign, and I believe that Edwards can win it all, and he did win his home State of South Carolina or more aptly termed his birth state.

But North Carolina has usually been a Republican Stronghold, but states like Louisiana, Georgia, and Arkansas have typically been swing states, and if Edwards were the nominee I'd feel confident that he'd win at least one of the Carolina's.

i'm impressed that, at the age of 14, you've decided to help your parents on a political campaign.

when i was 14, i didn't know a whole lot about politics other than what my parents fed me. the fact that you're helping your folks in actually getting involved impresses me a lot, and i'm sure by the time you're in college, you'll be quite the poly sci whiz.

do you mind if i ask you what your parents do for a living? again, i'm not trying to be mean or imply anything, but i'm curious as to what sort of people decide to volunteer for john edwards.

on another note, south carolina is more republican than north carolina, in case you were wondering. only one-third of its registered voters are democrats. i haven't seen/heard anything about how well edwards polls against bush in SC, but i can almost guarantee that bush outpolls him even moreso than he does in NC--edwards' home state.

how bout no one? i m not gonna waste my time voting this time cuz all the ppl there are dumb and all the same. rather save the hassel. plus voting is overated cuz it doesnt really count much to the final decision

plus voting is overated cuz it doesnt really count much to the final decision

What exactly do you mean by that? 1 vote will never decide the outcome of any race of national implications, and if you do a cost/effort analysis, it'll actually cost you more to go to the precinct and vote than to risk allowing someone you don't support win a U.S. presidential, senatorial, or congressional election.

everybody knows that... we just like to pretend that an individual can make a difference. a mass of individuals can make a difference, but not one individual.

pubes is so pragmatic. ;)

as shown in just the last election.

EVERY vote counts.

True, 1 person in the 2000 election would not have made a differance. But all It takes it 1 person per precinct In probably just Miami-Dade and Broward countys (Just using those 2 as an example), that is thinking the same way Pubes is thinking now too alter that election.

pubes is so pragmatic. ;) also our vote is like a "sugestion' cuz the electoral collage and other stuff counts more towerdss the final outcome. also they get ur voter info and charge u on alot of stuff and regester u for jury duty and all taht crap. i rataher not vote unless i felt really strong about the person running. this time i dont.

also they get ur voter info and charge u on alot of stuff and regester u for jury duty and all taht crap.

actually, now they call people for jury duty based on drivers license records.

you can't get duck out of the jury duty pool unless you don't have a license.

it's a good thing they made it that way. in the past, jury duty was actually a big reason why a lot of people never bothered to register.

oh, and they don't charge you on anything when you register to vote.

so if u have a good driver license record u get called for jury duty??

i got a bad driver record .. would they want sumbody that lacks judgement in driving to be in jury duty?

so if u have a good driver license record u get called for jury duty??

what i meant to say was:

they get their list of potential jurors from the list of everyone who has a drivers license. a computer will randomly pick people from the list.

there has to be other credentials cuz even oj simpson and p. diiddy, ray lewis have driver licenses and i kno there not gonna be called for court dooty lol
