Heckeroo
well, i think they'll have an unfinalized deal on the table by the end of march 15 and they'll extend the deadline to get it done
gofish
Not sure about a new stadium, but I'm 99.9% sure it won't happen by March 15. For it to even happen at all, I think the Fish have to back off of their desire for a roof. I know they could use one, but is the constant threat of rain worth an extra $100 million or more? Maybe, but not when you are having trouble just coming up with the necessary funds for even a bare-bones stadium. :marlins
PBMarlin
Looks like the NOYES's have it by a landslide. Talk about being a fence sitter. We'll get a stadium, just not sure it will be by March 15. If after March 15 look for it to be somewhere outside Miami-Dade.

Hugg
*shakes Magic 8 ball* "My sources say no." I'll be shocked if it happens, I hope it does, but I have no confidence that it will get done.
rferry
Yes, because I'm a fan and I think Loria and Samson can get it done. If not they are welcome to come to DC, as are all of you.

gofish
I'm having a little trouble understanding why anyone thinks that my comments above bashes the stadium plan. The question was "will we get a stadium?" I stated that I thought that a deal would not be done by March 15. I also stated that since funds are hard to come by, that maybe the Marlins should back off of their desire for a retractable roof. How does this bash the stadium plan? Also, sorry but I'm not a Cubs fan, Yankees fan, politician or whatever. Why am I any less of a fan because I don't want to hand someone several hundred million? Maybe I have different opinion regarding the role of government and the use of tax dollars than some (most?) of you, but that doesn't make me any less of a Marlins fan. No retractable roof=right back where we started. We can get it done. If the Marlins won the World Series, they can pull off this coup. Especially with the good news this morning in the Herald. catchoftheday
:: pretty please :: please Samson .... call Elvis Costello and tell him to help us. With your powers combined we can do it. i dont like deadlines ... why is everything so hard.
BasesLoadedWalk
It will be touch and go but they'll put something together by the deadline. More likely, it will be something that they didn't want to do but is better than the alternatives. Perhaps, the news from the Herald is a clue of that. :shifty
hot4beckett
I wish we had a stadium. it's like, "what's the big deal already, just give us our stadium." Although I know it's not that easy.
