Why are the Braves picked ahead of the Fish?

Recommended Posts

Gary Sheffield was replaced with JD Drew (aka Mr. DL)

I think my cat is going to be playing 3B for them.

Greg Maddux was replaced by Thompson.

Fick was just plain released.

They have more of a question at catcher than the Marlins.

They have a lesser rotation than the Marlins as well.

The only place I would put them ahead is Bullpen.

Somebody explain this one....

Bingo! Nobody likes to be wrong, and a lot of people wrote the Braves off last year only to see Javier Lopez have a career year, Marcus Giles explode, and the Braves rolled to the NL East title without breaking a sweat. If Lopez and Giles performed more in line with expectations and Pat Burrell doesn't go into the tank, there's a good chance they do finish behind the Phillies as a lot of people expected. It's just the Marlins would've won the NL East title.
