March 14, 200422 yr Belen beat Trinity Prep 12-2 on Friday to up its record to 5-3 (2-0). Next game is this upcoming Wednesday at home against Curley (district game). Mario pitched well on Friday, giving up two runs but striking out 7 and scattering just a few hits. Solid overall performance by the team, including a Grand Slam by Catcher Danny Marquez, his second homer in as many days. I regrettably did not get to see the end, however, because the parents of the other team thought I was "hurting their players feelings". Of course, I do believe invoking the ten run rule hurts feelings enough, but w/e. I guess people can't take a little fun talk, even if it is free of cursing, crude insults, or anything other than just random fun stuff in either english or spanish.
March 23, 200422 yr REVIVING THE THREAD Boca Raton Bobcat UPDATE: The Bobcats beat Ft. Lauderdale, formerly ranked 9th in the state, 3-2 last wednsday. Not only that, but the win was against top 100 prospect Eammon Portice, who gave up his first home run in two years to Cody Clinton, who added 2 RBI to bring his county-leading total up to 16. The Bobcats' record is now 9-3.

I'm confident were taking The W as The Team were playing(Montours) is historically low ranking as they have a huge drop out rate and rarely hold down a solid team.
