I came back from the Braddock vs Coral park Varsity game.

 

Well we lossed (Coral park) 10-9.

 

Coral park was losing 10-3 untill the last two innings which Coral park scored 6 runs of Braddock pitchers.

 

Michael Jordan hit a homerun for them and our 4th batter hit the center field fence in the air (Paniagua)

 

When we had our rally with two men on, they stopped/ended the game because it was sundown.

Mario? Mario was throwing low 80's if that. His stuff was moving ok but it was moving outside of the strike zone and staying flat inside the strike zone. Not a recipe for success.

Quick Update:

 

Belen defeated La Salle 9-0 today, snapping a small losing steak. Team busted out of a slump in a big way, with two jakcs including one Gaby Hernandez shot that hasn't landed yet. Gaby also got the ball for the start, going 5 innings, giving up 2 cheap hits, and striking out 7 (including the first batter of the game on a curve so dirty the hitter fell to the floor).

 

Belen is 2-0 in the district now and 3-3 overall. Hopefully we can get on a run now, up next is Trinity Prep tomorrow at home again.

Update:

McCarthy lose 8-1 against Pace.

 

McCarthy took the lead in the 1st but could not hold Pace when they scored 6 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings.

 

We are now 4-2 for the season and 1-2 in our district

 

Next game is a district game against Chaminade at 3 at Chaminade.

Coral park wins against Jackson in FIU Stadium for Coral Parks Homecoming.

 

Score was 7-4. One of the hardest thrower for Coral Park, Eduardo Morlan struck out 11 in 4 innings throwing a no hitter.

Archbishop McCarthy loses 5-4 against Chaminade.

 

It was a heart breaking loss when McCarthy tied it 4-4 in the 7th by scoring 3 runs in the 6th and 7th and with men on first and second and two outs the cleanup hitter for the mavericks, joey mata, comes up and hits a rocket right down first base but Chaminade's 1st basebman makes a great play that ended the inning. Chaminade then ended the game the following innings on a walk off double.

 

Key Performers for the Mavs were Corey Bernis who was 3-3 and Steve Fenton who was 1-3 with 1 HR.

 

Our next game is against Pace on thursday at 8 PM at Pace.

 

Our record is now 4-3

What we care about is the district games.
