-Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne/Batman)

-Morgan Freeman

-Michael Caine (Alfred)

-Katie Holmes

-Liam Neeson

-Cillian Murphy

-Gary Oldman

-Ken Watanabe (from The Last Samurai, nominated for Best Supporting Actor)

i like the direction this movie is taking. plus chris nolan can write. :thumbup

i've heard it will be more of the darker, troubled Batman we've seen from the comics most of the time.

more of a "detective"-style instead of the silliness with Mr. Freeze and Robin and the Batkids and Batgrandma...

the last two movies were a joke.

Who is Christian Bale???? :huh

Christian Bale was in American Psycho and Swing Kids. He's a good looking sort with a strong jawline (necessary to play Batman).

Supposedly, they were supposed to go with the Year One ultra-serious, detective/police drama format. But, plans have changed and the villain is Ra's Al Ghul and possibly the scarecrow. I don't think it will be great, but it could be pretty good. The first two were really solid, so I don't have a problem with Nolan directing it, he did a pretty good job with Momento and the other movie he made with Pacino and Robin Williams.

My own personal take: They should have gone with Year One and just re-introduced a bunch of the important characters (Harvey Dent, Jim Gordon, etc.). I think since the Batman mythos all go from that anyways nowadays it would have been wise to go with the classic comic.
