Very nice...

Thank You!

BTW, I have added a poll on the location, so go visit and vote! More will come as we get closer to fruition.

its sad to see those cool pics of a waterfront stadium in downtown. I hope everything goes through and we get a park at the OB site, yet a downtown stadium in the arena area with metrorail access would be awesome. Almost as awesome as spanking Wood and Prior in the NLCS. What a magical year that was!

for those who are saddened by the waterfront not happening, just think that a home is a home and the Marlins fans are a working-class fanbase and not many have waterfront homes unless they live in Sweetwater when it's raining and the pumps don't work. :D

Thanks, I hope that soon it will be the home to construction photos and finally be able to turn it into the making of the ballpark website. :D

That would be very awesome. I tell you, it seems that the organization has something brewing because there isnt a whole lot being said otherwise. If something wasnt on the burner, I would think we would be hearing about it through the media. Could be a good sign - especially with the money being spent on those rings. That could only cement this franchise in the minds of the people running it. It establishes a legacy...hopefully we can continue to see it built here in S. Fl.

A couple of weeks ago we were looking at Isotopes Park and I had an idea to add a photo tour of the Marlins Farm System Ballparks. It is now up for all to see at the Marlins Ballpark Newpage. Enjoy!

If you have any ideas for new content for the site or comments, please post them here. Thank You!

I hope to add new and interesting features as we get further along.

Any new rumors on how the stadium deal is going?

Someone on the Marlins website forum says that a source says that a deal by the 15 of March is not probable. :banghead

We know that the wheels are turning and something is happening between the Marlins, City, County, State and Private Parties.

Coming up this month is the first session of the year 2004 of the Florida State Senate and House of Representative which are looking into granting the Marlins a $2 million a year rebate for 30 years to help ballpark construction. It has few opponents in Tallahassee because it is a tax rebate pending that the Marlins pay the taxes, the state them refunds the $2 million, and if needed for emergency reasons, the rebate can be stopped for the year.

The state gives this to every professional team in the state from Minor League Hockey to the Big 3 NFL teams.

I hadnt heard a number mentioned of how much the city might commit with the impending sale of the Miami Arena, but this was in The Herald today:

The chances of the Marlins getting a retractable-roof stadium deal got a boost last week when Miami city manager Joe Arriola said he expects the city to contribute financially (perhaps $50 million to $60 million). If the Marlins get that money -- plus a $60 million state sales-tax rebate -- they would meet the $325 million price tag. The team remains optimistic about meeting its March 15 stadium deadline.
