  1. Unbelievable. 7 game losing streak on its war. Mark my words
  2. do you guys think once we get a new ownership group that locking up our stars will start to become a regular thing? Or is it just the way things will always be in Miami. If I knew players like Jose, Ozuna, JT, etc were going to be around for the long haul it would be a lot easier to stomach these awful trades. We legitimate have one of the top 3 lineups in baseball...all we were really lacking is a real number 2 SP and another 4 era guy from being annual contenders. We are young and having promising players all at the major league level. There's no reason to think we shouldn't dominate the NL other than the fact our FO is out of their minds and stingier than hell.
  3. We have Jose, the best pitcher in baseball outside kershaw, and 7 #5 pitchers. Great.
  4. Second home loss of the year for Jose. Disappointing day.
  5. The passed ball on the swinging third strike by JT in the second inning set the table for the loss. This kind of loss irritates me. We had a chance to put us a few games up on both the Mutts and Cards...with our ace on the mound.
  6. Stanton cannot take a swing for the fence approach. Easy does it
  7. I was really hoping to put some distance between us and the Cards this weekend. We lose this series and we are looking up in the wild card standings going into Chicago.
  8. It all started from the passed ball on the swinging third strike in the second inning. JT blocks that pitch and that entire third inning never happens.
  9. Agree. We cannot give up our top talent for guys that put up the same numbers as our starting pitchers. Once Dee and Bour are back, I think we have the best 1-8 line-up of all the contending NL teams...to go along with a top 3 bullpen and the best starting pitcher in baseball (with kershaw on the shelf). We are honestly in pretty good position...its just frustrating having our supposed #2 be our 6th or 7th best pitcher right now. Donny should put the fear of death in our 3-5 pitchers and see where we go. After all, they've been pitching their asses off since they realized they may be riding a bus the rest of the year.
  10. He is the worst player I have seen take the field for the Marlins and actually play the amount he has. Start Dietrich at first and Rojss at second.
  11. Burned up our pen on a 4-0 loss. Great
  12. At this point I would save what prospects we do have in our garden and wait until the offseason to find another two SPs. Our offense has been shut out like every other game it seems like.
  13. How many pitches did Cosart finish with? I know he gave up no runs and just a few hits, but how did he look? I have to watch on gameday and its torture bc other than getting a pitch by pitch update, it doesn't give any context to if the outs were hard hit, we had an amazing play on defense, or anything like that.
  14. Great job for Claw getting out of that situation. I still feel like he doesn't need to be our primary option for the 7th. He should be used whenever strikeouts are necessary, whether it be the 5th 6th 7th 8th or 9th. I know he allowed the base runners at second and third, but let's pretend Dunn or Whit allowed those runners...that's when you bring in the Claw. Save him for those situations where the opposing team has men in scoring position bc that's when he's at his best. Next year (assuming it's Phelps 6, Capps 7, Rodney 8, Ramos 9) the Claw shouldn't have a designated inning and just be used with men on base when even a sac fly will beat us. Gotta love the Claw.
  15. wish i could be one of those at this game. Ive never been to Marlins Park. Haven't missed a game in years tho and I live in wisconsin. Whats your excuse?
  16. What shouldn't be overlooked is that fact we couldn't get Ozuna in from second. The black hole in Johnson is killing us.
  17. Stating the obvious but if Rodney doesn't give up that hr we are going to extras. Domino effect by using phelps instead of Claw to start the 7th.
  18. Thanks for checking. If we are making a run at this he needs to lead the way. He got the contract, demanded the FO put a winner on the field NOW, and now it's his time to put up or shut up.
  19. Stats on Stanton since AS break?
  20. Getting one run of Familia is hard enough...three is near impossible. Groundout, pop up, K.
  21. Claw won't be available tmrw. Phelps is all but done. Rodney gets smashed by the mets. Jose better pitch smart and go at least 8 tomorrow.
  22. True...but giving up a 4 run lead is very Dunn-esque
  23. Yes he did...until their pen decided to blow a 5-1 lead in the 8th. We needed the Dads to hang on and at least take one game that series. 4 game sweep and they gained a game on us.
  24. I love the activity on this board but there are too many inside jokes between some posters. It clutters the board and most of the other people just get annoyed by it. Ive been on these boards since what seems like the beginning of time, but I just started posting under this name recently. I'm not hating on anyone in particular, it just seems childish with all these one-liners that no one has any reference to but a few of you. That said, I'm sure you guys are good people but it's hard to find good content when 2/3 of the posts are mockeries of other posters. Still love you tho!
