I hate that I love the Marlins. I hate that I fell in love with a team 20 years ago before I knew any better. As a kid you don't think about things like having a good front office, a good owner willing to spend money year in year out, etc. It's pathetic that we get to watch our team have a glimpse of hope to make the playoffs every ten years or so and then watch them implode the way they do. In the last two weeks alone there are 4-5 games that we 99% should have won. We are now tied with the cardinals, who have half the talent we have but bc of their management they have a shot year in year out.

I don't care how well x y and z pitch if the guys before them are giving up hits to guys left and right without getting a single out (looking at you cervenka). It's always something with this team. Jose pitches decent but true aces need to pitch 7-8 every night out. We had the lead, gave it up all at once, took the lead, and then allowed them to tie it again. It's infuriating watching our hitters swing at pitches we all know are coming. Fuck!!!!!!! I need counseling

Trade Ozuna for SP if and only if we get a guy like Reddick. I'm just afraid it will be hard to find another 25-30 HR guy to replace him. He might be good to keep around another few years, but he's our best chip to get a number 2 behind Jose. Like many here have said, Ozuna will be a nightmare when it comes to his next contract and his "wtf" plays will increase tenfold. Keep Prado...we won't find a .300 guy out there, even if he has little power. If he can stop grounding into eight million double plays that would help too. Upgrade backup righty 1B. Keep Rojas...he's cheap and can play everywhere. Bring Ichiro back. Upgrade from Gillespie. It sucks knowing we are going to be bargain hunting once again. There's not really a top flight FA starter I would throw money at, but we could lock up our own guys. Just give Jose eight years 250 mil already.

Rodney would be more effective in the ninth imo. He is just one of those alpha male, needs the spot light on him in order to shine kind of guy. Give him the ninth and watch him dominate.

Just a bullshit game. Yelich allowing Fowler to score, Ichiro striking out and not even moving over the runners, using Dee in a PR situation when the speed difference isn't worth taking another bat off the bench. Dee should have been used when Ichiro was and used to move the runners over so we could at least tie it. Sick of this shit!!!!!

Yes'sir...perfect scenario if they put up zeros, which most of them do when they come in the game anyway. Notice Dunn was left out of this scenario. Dunn has been better lately, but he hasn't really faced many high leverage scenarios. Mostly clean up work for him.

Praying this isn't serious. I know Rea was not supposed to be something special, but he could have really helped us down the stretch. Seems like a guy who can give us 5 every 5th day

If phelps does start games, it will be a bullpen game for the most part. Even the front end of our pen has been holding its own...so something like Phelps 4 IP, Mcgowen/Whitgren 2 IP, then claw, Rodney, AJ. I prefer that over a lot of other SP scenarios tbh.

Now that the game has destroyed our evenings...this is random but you guys seem like good people to ask. I am currently looking to move to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, any recommendations on which area is best for a late twenties girl? Safe, clean, but not sutper picky. Looking for a new start and to be closer to the Marlins and Dolphins. I have a degree from UW so should be finding a job be real difficult? Kinda wingin it and seeing what Miami can do for me.

Every ten years or so the Marlins are in contention for the playoffs, with a serious squad to get it done. It is not about the talent. It's the LACK OF FOCUS. When we do get solid pitching the offense will put up nothin...or have such terrible pitching that the offense has no chance to come back. The talent is there, the desire to truly win is not.
