Post Game 8/3

Featured Replies

I mean the Marlins are better this year but the Cubs are in another league.  They probably should sweep us every time.  That said they really played like chumps in the 8th and 9th.  Rodney, Stanton, Ramos, I mean show up guys.

This could be a season changing loss. All the way back to our high water mark at 9 over and then get swept.

They tied the game and we came back and put up 3 and they still won this game. Probably the worst and most important loss of the season.

I am speechless as to why they walked Rizzo. Absolutely speechless. How? How? How? Ramos was all over the place and you walk the bases loaded? Speechless.

To blow a save against good hitting is one thing.. but to blow a save after 4 walks and a wild pitch is a whole other story. Cubs would have been the worst team in baseball if they didn't take this game.

Definitely should have sold high on Ramos at the deadline

That would require the marlins FO to use for sight and actually think ahead. Very not their style which is based on rash decisions that cost loria no $

Not to mention they should've scored way before that. Ump gave him 3 strikes

Stanton doesn't show up in the later innings though. Been a trend all year. Embarrassing how much of a disaster Rodney has been and Ramos is doing the same shit as last year with a hot first half then going downhill afterwards.

I have been a silent observer all year. For me, Mattingly is good for two things: building excellent clubhouse chemistry and getting these guys to believe that they can be winners. He is amazing at those things. As for managing a ballgame?  Give me a break. Who orders an IBB to load the bases when the closer is all over the map? I don't fault Ramos. He is entitled to blow TWO saves by August. This was horrible. They took his two chances and made them one - on a day he was having trouble locating. Shameful. Mattingly's in-game management/decision making skills leave a TON to be desired. That said, I hope he can psychologically convince them to keep believing.........dreams can happen!  :)  GO MARLINS!
