  1. Mike Rabelo had sooo much potential.... :cry-min:
  2. Been watching this show and seems to be picking up steam.
  3. Its okay, let some other team grossly over pay him.. We need young talent, I'm okay with said talent not even being MLB ready.
  4. Emotionally agreed
  5. I haven't heard of anything remotely close to him wanting to sell. IMO, I don't think he has any real intentions of selling. I believe he truly enjoys owning an MLB team and Miami seems like a place he wants to be in for a long time to come. As for the ballpark being named, I would be surprised if a company didn't get its name on there prior to this season, the marketing of an All Star game in Miami for a company like Bacardi or Burger King or maybe even Ryder is too good to pass up.
  6. I know exactly what you mean.. I have uttered those words countless time today. At this point, I can't even say anything that hasn't already been said. Its hurtful and tragic, I pray that his family somehow finds healing and comfort.
  7. I was thinking about going at or around 10pm, hopefully by then it'll be somewhat easy to get in.
  8. Again, I am completely for the contract and understand it wasn't cooked up this past weekend. My post is the reason for "why" i think the timing is bad, and I get he wanted to sign asap in order for it to be effective, I get the contacts law part of it. They should have just kept it under wraps until after this week's horrible scheduled events have concluded.
  9. I truly believe there's a lot of people wishing Jose had signed a contract and the fact that a contract was executed during the time he's being prepared to be laid to rest doesn't set well with me. Even though I like this signing and fully expected it to happen, it should have either been done after Thursday or simply not publicized till after the funeral, the latter would have been better.
  10. She's simply been staying away from the media. It was reported that they might have gotten into an argument, as reported by the Herald but honestly, an argument is nothing out of norm especially with the emotions involved with pregnancy. Also, who's to say she wasn't at Jose grandmas house? Apparently there's going to be a public viewing on Thursday for the fans.
  11. This is just getting strange now.. very, very strange
  12. If that's what you think is right, and further that's what you envision when you think the word captain, whom I am to tell you otherwise.. You're beyond reproach
  13. It's reported that he indeed was the owner of the boat.
  14. Maybe because the "captain" is responsible for its crew??! I think everyone will agree, that the scenario of Jose drinking not being the captain is a lot better than Jose drinking and being the captain.
  15. I honestly can't even think of how they can determine who was driving.. It seems the boat was owned by Jose but shared among friends so anybody could have been behind the wheel. Like I said in my previous posts, some new information will be slowly coming out and we need to take it with a grain of salt, but when it comes to Le Batard info, its always pretty legit, especially down here in Miami.
  16. It seems Le Batard can confirm he was drinking... so sad man... http://www.businessinsider.com/miami-marlins-worried-about-jose-fernandez-off-field-behavior-2016-9
  17. Le Batard stated on the radio today that the bodies were not very recognizable. He also stated that a lot more information is going to be coming out regarding this accident in the coming days and it might not be good but imo it doesn't change a thing. On today's game, I don't know how these guys are going to be able to play today...
  18. I feel compelled to write because at this point I just feel angry and hurt, and quite frankly I don't know how else to vent and fortunately, we have this wonderful island of Marlins fans here, that I know feel my pain. Growing up in Miami, playing sports and mainly baseball, and especially being Cuban American, I saw in Jose what I always dreamed about being, playing for my home town team the Marlins. Of course, being good in high school and trying to make it beyond that takes some special talent and I quickly realized that my career wasn't going to be in baseball. Fortunately every 5th day, I had Jose to look upon and feel as though, I can almost feel what it felt like it to make it by the way expressed his joy and enthusiasm for the game. My mother and grandmother were my biggest fans and seeing how Jose was with his really touched me. He was living out a dream, a DREAM one can only imagine. For instance, my mother whom the Marlins have delivered one heart break after another found her way back to stadium almost more than me to cheer on a kid whom like many mothers felt it was one of her own. My uncle whom is does spanish media looked upon him as though he was his grandson, especially after losing his very own son a couple of years ago due to cancer. My uncle saw part of his son in Jose; he always smiling, laughing, radiating love into any room he walked into and most importantly always made you feel like he was your friend. A lot of us have had the opportunity of meeting him and others maybe not but whether you have or haven't we all lost a son, a brother, a friend and for me, well I lost someone whom was living out my dream, and it couldn't have been a better human being doing it.. Thank you JF!
  19. I like the idea in theory and I think they might do something along the lines of this but that would be way too emotional. I can't imagine a player being able to hold it together after seeing that sequence.
  20. I agree. There has been a numerous time where I think I find a good deal and hit checkout only to find out there $30-40 worth of fees and get completely turned off and not buy them.
  21. You're complaining about sitting on the first level (granted in the outfield but still first level) for $20 bucks but you'll be totally fine with paying $6 for sitting nose bleed and assume you'll sit up there.. I get its frustrating especially having a prior hook up and now having to pay, trust me, everybody had "hook up" for marlins tickets lol I couldn't give them away before and even now still have a problem.
  22. Are you 12 years old?!
  23. I guess if you consider batting .279 w/ 2 HRs and an 890OPS "awesome" (I'll say his .477 OBP was decent) then these guys can potentially make you very happy!!
  24. This resembles the Nick Johnson trade so much... I think we're all hoping there's more to come. We have nothing left to give though.
