1. This trade by no means made our team better. Added depth is a great thing, cant argue that but was the move actual "worth" it? Time will tell..
2. Second, for pics (srs)
3. I was just about to copy and paste it!! I like the look of that lineup
4. We just got instantly better! Imagine this as though it was trade deadline acquisition..
5. What a terrible time to start losing games like these, timing couldn't be worse.
6. Good luck with that I guess.. lol
7. I believe a good majority of the clubs out there can also offer a package of mediocre talent as well. I don't think we have anything special that can bring that "missing piece". We will see I guess.
8. You guys want to go shopping with no money.. I have said for a while now, we have nothing to trade. I would be surprised if we can somehow (hopefully) obtain a "decent" pitcher.
9. How Don Kelly is on a MLB roster in beyond me.. I have seen pitchers bunt better than he did. He looked horrible, I mean terrible up there.. Aside from that, nice win for our guys!!
10. For a lot of athletes, getting the big pay day is the end of their journey (mentally) compared to others..
11. The best one was "Ozuna is not going to get a change up, he should be ready for the fastball because the pitcher is going to go right after him" wouldn't you know, the very next pitch, a CHANGE UP on the inside edge Preston's response "you know back in the day, he would have thrown a fastball and gone right after him".. It's like really dude??
12. Stay in school bruh...
13. Whatever happened to Rab?
14. I don't see why @Arpenschplat posts would be considered childish, quite frankly I think starting any response with "LOL" is childish. Also, from context of the post, you can CLEARLY understand he means "overpriced" as over valued.
15. Just because someone doesn't agree with your "logic" doesn't mean they don't understand. Its obvious for whatever reason we're at an impasse. Lets just agree to disagree and move on..
16. Just to make it clear, I'm not opposed to him being traded. If it replenishes are depleted farm system and adds some MLB ready talent why not. I don't believe he's going to sign long term here. The only thing I was trying to say is; the whole thing about not be available is crap. As you and @Valid essentially everyone is available until their not..
17. Its simple, how many reports/sources are leaking that Trout is sought after by this team or that Kris Bryan is being sought after by that team. You know why you don't see those reports? Its because they're not available... Yeah, maybe one team is like "hey the Marlins are willing to take x,y & z, would you be interested in the same package" but again its unrealistic that a team would send Trout for Jose, if you think that's actually possible, we're on different planets as far we're concerned.
18. And 'Dumb" would be the kind way to illustrate how this organization has been ran for the past 12 years.. Like someone had mentioned, I'm sure those packages being offered to us could be offered to at least 5 other guys around the league that are at or above Jose's level. Difference is, those team's are making sure their young talent is truly and genuinely not available.
19. I get the not "shopping" him part but I believe everybody would agree; even when the phone rings and they offer you x,y & Z, your response should "he's not available", the reports are saying otherwise. In fact, they're saying what the Marlins would expect in return. Not being "shopped", "not available", all this leads me to believe the dude is being sought after and they Marlins are entertaining offers...
20. but he's "not available"......
21. In actuality in wouldn't be a bad idea to come here initially. Here's why; he can take decent contract, perform in a low pressure environment (like @CYmarlins said, he knows this division)and get his numbers as a decent level and right around the trade deadline make a move to competing team that you know for sure has a legitimate chance of competing. Because of that, I wouldn't count us out completely and there's benefits to both sides here.
22. With every passing day, this "organization" makes me appreciate the Heat so much!
23. Definitely a negative article but you're naive if you don't believe 95% of that article is true.
24. This is so stupid! We tried this with Tino Martinez (comparing as to experience coaching) and we all know how that worked out. They do something to piss us off one week and the next they do something like this and we all salivate because of a name. We should all know better by now...
25. The guy that should have started is now warming up..
