Posted August 10, 20168 yr So I'm thinking about going to Friday nights game with friends and family. Looking to buy 5 tickets. For a team that closes its entire 300 section because not enough people go to the games, I think it's totally ridiculous that it costs a minimum of $20 to get into the ballpark. Why not offer $6 seats? What's the downside? A hot dog and a beer is $18+ so why not try and get as many bodies as possible in? I get that if 2 people go on a weeknight, it's very easy to move from your $20 seat to a seat that costs double that. But that doesn't work well with 5 people on Firework Friday. I'll admit that I'm frustrated because I used to have a MAJOR hookup at the old stadium (Admin can vouch for that) but damn, man. $20 gets you a seat in the Home Run Porch which is like watching the game from outer space. Now I'm stuck with deciding to pay roughly $28 a seat for Sec 40 (G's Corner) or Lexus Legends Row 1 for $48 a seat.

August 10, 20168 yr Author Seats in left field aren't that bad Agreed. But........ There are no seats available in left field.
August 10, 20168 yr You're complaining about sitting on the first level (granted in the outfield but still first level) for $20 bucks but you'll be totally fine with paying $6 for sitting nose bleed and assume you'll sit up there.. I get its frustrating especially having a prior hook up and now having to pay, trust me, everybody had "hook up" for marlins tickets lol I couldn't give them away before and even now still have a problem.
August 10, 20168 yr $20 is very reasonable for a MLB game. $6 will probably get you into a Jupiter Hammerheads game.
August 10, 20168 yr I used to have a MAJOR hookup at the old stadium (Admin can vouch for that) Yep, @DTrain hooked me up with amazing seats on multiple occasions.
August 10, 20168 yr Never sit in right field and center. You'll only be able to see the tiny screen, and it's total shit. I would rather not go to a game than sit there. Just a fair warning.

To be fair, the first level tickets in the outfield are $25 plus all of the conveinance fees. So it's a $30 ticket.
August 10, 20168 yr The fees are really shitty, sometimes it seems like tickets double in price after them
August 10, 20168 yr $10 a ticket scalped down the 3rd base line. Sit there, move around, whatever. It's not a big deal. I've never sat in my seats the entire game (unless diamond club). We're sitting diamond club then for sure, I don't like moving around due to laziness.

August 10, 20168 yr The fees are really shitty, sometimes it seems like tickets double in price after them I agree. There has been a numerous time where I think I find a good deal and hit checkout only to find out there $30-40 worth of fees and get completely turned off and not buy them.
August 10, 20168 yr Author No it doesn't. Just say you need 5 tickets together. Check the seats. Done. Where are all of these scalpers? The last 3 games I've been to I've seen literally one scalper. He was standing on the sidewalk just beyond the Shell gas station.
August 10, 20168 yr Author Or be smart, scalp tickets, and sit wherever you want squall, that does not work with 5 people on a Friday night. Especially when one person in our party is 73 years old.
August 10, 20168 yr the beer prices are ridiculous They give a free pepsi for being a designated driver. They should give a free beer for the other person I say.
August 10, 20168 yr They give a free pepsi for being a designated driver. They should give a free beer for the other person I say. WHAT? How the heck!?
August 10, 20168 yr WHAT? How the heck!? You didn't know about this? Its near home plate I think on concourse. You show your license, they give you a free pepsi voucher
August 10, 20168 yr Author Yes it does. Age means nothing. All seats have access so elevators. You tell the scalper you need 5 tickets together. He gives you 5 tickets together. Whats so difficult? You can even park in the garage for $15 if you want. I think we're having a misunderstanding. I was under the impression you were saying it's easy to buy tickets from a scalper and then once inside the park go and sit WHEREVER WE WANT. Anyway, I ask again, where are all of these scalpers you're taking about?
August 10, 20168 yr Author the beer prices are ridiculous Word. I spent $42 on 3 Corona King Cans the last time I was there. Throw that on top of the cheapest ticket ($20), $10 to park at the Shell and $20 for two hot dogs....... $92 for one fan.
August 10, 20168 yr Heck no^ I eat before I go to the game. Forget that lol. Then I eat after I leave the game, because I am starving. How is parking in the shell though? I got Season tickets in G's corner but the drive plus the parking is what sucks.

August 10, 20168 yr $3 12 oz beers at progressive field in cleveland. So much better team and experience
