  1. Caissie back, Pauley sent down.
  2. BTW if you get a chance look up who got the save for the Braves tonight. Pretty incredible.
  3. Going to be an interesting weekend with the trade deadline. The pending 40-man roster glut, in particular the outfield, virtually guarantees we will have to make a few trades.
  4. Well done. Comprehensive win. On to Saturday.
  5. Is it crazy to think a package of prospects for Hunter Greene would be a viable trade?
  6. In the history of the Marlins franchise, World Series titles: Marlins 2 Mets 0 If the team and fans weren't so completely unlikeable, I would feel sorry for them.
  7. Haven't heard a whole lot about Bender but sounds like he could be back next month. Really could use him as that would make the bullpen a lot stronger and deeper. Ekness could be help as well as he would be an upgrade over Gibson or Zuber.
  8. Quick hook for Gibson. Rooting for the kid but he needs a bus ticket to Jacksonville ASAP.
  9. Fantastic outing for Junk tonight. Do your job bullpen.
  10. cmon Kyle make up for it.
  11. Big out to keep the three-run lead. Walks and errors will kill any club. Gotta play fundamental baseball.
  12. $300 million dollar payroll and the Mets have Curry, Wagaman, and Brazoban on their roster.
  13. Through three the Senga-Junk pitching duel is what we all expected, lol.
  14. Senga starting instead.
  15. Gage Miller has an ops close to 1.000 in aaa. He has had a breakout year between pensacola and Jacksonville. He has only played a few games at third base but dare I say he might be our best option right now. There is a huge glut of guys in aa and aaa that is going to create a 40-man roster crunch come rule 5 time.
  16. Didn't do the little things and pauley had the worst game despite going 2-3. Mack and Sanoja are the only home grown players in the lineup and the rest are trade throw and and waiver wire pickups essentially. Telling how bad our farm system was. On to tomorrow.
  17. Love Cannarella but he is still adjusting to AAA and needs a little more polish. Doubt we will see him this year but if we do that is a good sign for the future. We have about 5 or 6 legit outfield prospects in AAA and AA so it will be interesting to see how that plays out if we do make some trades.
  18. BTW, Dishmey's night is done for Pensacola. 5ip, 1 h, o runs, 3 BB, 8k's. Not too shabby. Also, Compton went yard again.
  19. Feel like him and Otto are both playing through injury and it is affecting their hitting.
  20. 2nd round pick in 2025. Currently leading the organization with 23 homers. Has a 1.222 OPS at AA. Yes 1.222 albeit in a small sample size (22 games, 89 abs). Lots of swing and miss but plus power. Top 3 OPS in organization this year: Cam Cannarrella Brandon Compton Santiago Solarte (my breakout guy in DSL) You rarely see stats like these at the plate in the minors for the Fish. Don't screw them up.
  21. Watching Pensacola to check out Eliazar Dishmey on the mound. They don't really list him in any of the prospect lists which is odd because his numbers are pretty impressive and he has steadily moved up the ladder. Still only 21 as well. Not sure if he throws had enough or has enough movement yet but he looks like he could be a useful bullpen piece at some point. He reminds me a bit of a shorter George Soriano. Take that for what you will.
  22. I was thinking about the Luzardo trade today and had completely forgotten we had traded him to the Cubs but he failed their physical. They never confirmed who we were getting back but speculation was it was Caissie and Triantos. A few days later he was shipped to the Phillies. Weird butterfly effect on that if he goes to the Cubs. 1) Possibly we don't panic and sell low to the Phillies. 2) The Cubs were right and Luzardo can't stay healthy thus making any trade not as disappointing as what we did. 3) Cabrera doesn't go to he Cubs and is either kept or shipped elsewhere possibly for a viable 1b or 3b. 4) Triantos comes over and plays a solid third. 5) The Weathers trade doesn't happen, or goes to a different team, or the package is different.
  23. Braxton got shellacked again in AAA. Can't see him having much value at all. The only team stupid enough to give something worthwhile up is the Angels. Otherwise it could be Sherman's favorite player Cash Considerations.
  24. only mother nature can slow down the fighting fish. looks like storms but they expect to get all nine in according to the update I see.
