  1. Right, I could be wrong, but I thought Jazz & Don had prior confrontations weeks before that double switched call which leads me to think that Don seen something in Jazz (attitude or style) that didn’t sit well. Yeah maybe the double switch was a horrible game decision, but I’m not buying it.
  2. I remember reading an article on the Zac Gallen trade for Jazz, that Arizona didn’t like his primadonna attitude.
  3. It’s 2023 and some people still believe MLB isn’t scandalous in anyway. Every record has basically been broken since the 2000 & up. You don’t think they juice the base balls or soften them either I guess.
  4. Mattingly tried this and the FO wasn’t having it.
  5. Maybe the league doesn’t want an extreme amount of evidence against their decision to widen the bases. Some teams or perhaps the whole league could be under league restraint for prosperity of the game or the hope that bigger bases will become longevity for the sport. So far, this year the stolen base success rate is above 80%. However, the attempts are only 0.3 higher per team than last year. With an 80% + success rate, it should make us question why isn’t teams attempting more steals.
  6. They should just call Edward Cabrera back up. He’s not fixing his BB rate but his ERA is 2.31 in 4 starts since being demoted to triple-A. We could use another rotational arm down the stretch. If the mindset is the same (don’t implode + inning relief) for Edwards as it is with Cueto than it seems like a no brainer?
  7. It all start at the top. When we see a collapse & an opposite managerial way of coaching that resembles old management (Donny) I would say the FO is the culprit.
  8. What good is speed at a position if you can’t get on base. Jazz could steal every time with a 100% success rate and he wouldn’t be in the top 10 in steals because he can’t get on base. I agree the FO is at fault because they can’t puzzle the pieces to every players strength & weakness. The FO is slow to adapt on any personal/player decision making . Jazz should be laying down bunts every night, yet Jazz or the FO rarely elect to do what may be best for the team. Honestly, I think this franchise is concerned more with individual talent right away in hopes to strike lightly in a bottle rather than slowing down the process on players strengths that can later be translate into a complete player.
  9. Let’s hope. It’s plausible if we offer him a reconstructed contract for more cash. Who knows maybe Perez will waiver the no trade clause as is.
  10. There is some truth to what you are saying. It was late and I was trying to be comical.
  11. The turds are really going to hit the fan here, if/when Cueto starts & struggles We’re only at the half way mark. If you’re panicking now you shouldn’t watch sports.
  12. Wainwright only has 1 title, while Molina & Pulos have 2 . You added Wainwright for some reason which ties Sutter and oddly enough, adding Wainwright would be the same thing your crying about Sutter. At least Sutter adds 1 more title unlike Waino. You’re wrong about one player (Cueto) will sink a season, that’s why I mentioned scrubs like Morris, Suppan & Marquis. Who cares how many championships your team won anyway.
  13. Playing as many seasons as Cueto has, rehab & spring training starts are probably boring him and may not reflect much. Wainwright has eleven starts this year, Cueto has one right now.
  14. Gibson & Musial combine for 5 adding Sutter makes 6 out of 11. That’s the majority. The 3 players you mentioned won twice, that’s nice. You right, Carlton won once with the Cardinals but twice more with two different teams.
  15. They do mainly because of Bob Gibson, Stan Musial, Bruce Sutter & Steve Carlton.
  16. No, I use only one account lol.
  17. Cueto’s stats pitching in the AL last year resembles Pablo’s stats this year. It’s not a stretch to say Cueto can be helpful & maybe impactful. If anything, like you mentioned he’s going to lighten the load.
  18. Being a Cardinals fan you should know better. The Cardinals would never have a postseason if what your saying is true. I can’t even remember the last time the Cardinals had a great pitching rotation top to bottom but they managed with scrubs like Marquis, Morris & Suppan, yet Cueto alone is going to sink the ship? I don’t think so. If the Marlins don’t reach the playoffs it will be for a lack of adding not protecting.
  19. I’m probably one of the few who thinks Cueto at this juncture, should be in our rotation just until seasons end. We need a guy who has post season experience & can log in some innings. 8.5M was a bit of a gamble by Kim, but she should roll that dice again and actually “force” Cueto as the 6th man. Pick up an all star bat and let the chips fall where they may.
  20. Mish is the Jazz of journalism right now, strikes out a bunch.
  21. I mean your right, but they report based on the mindset of their employer? I think it funnels at the top to the bottom. You’re probably right as I noticed the word “introduction” part of the title.
