1. Both sides had to play with the same field. The Marlins are not concentrating and lack focus. No one's fault but their own. 951871 ..... The field is a nightmare, I have never seen it like this in thirteen years of going to Marlins games. And it didn't happen by accident. 951972 Damn, why don't they give a crap about the Marlins?? It's disgusting. The field is horrendous. Thankfully, Damion didn't break his foot because of that field. I don't know the particulars about the Marlins' owner's arrangements with the ppl responsible for Dolphins Stadium, but if I were him i'd be raising holy hell over the condition of that field.. and that would have been before one of my players got hurt. :confused
2. Those Comments make me feel like they will come back next game and whoop on the Phillies. Thats the Mentality we should have everytime! 951369 NO doubt!! This is the kind of heart I saw this team have when they whooped the Yankees in '03. When I saw them play their hearts out in that '03 series and win when so many were saying it was against all odds and downright impossible I fell in love with them! That's why I still adore this team! They haven't lost that heart. We can never give up on them when there is any remote possibility of their still being in the race. Sappy, but true LOL!!
3. I agree with Hollyberry, it should be: Louie- 2B Hermida- RF Carlos- 1B Miguel-3B Jeff-LF JP-CF Andino-SS Paulie - C But with Jack ya never know... this is pretty much last lix for us tonite. Better put our best foot forward and put our best lineup possible on the field.
4. Well, we had a good time at the game today but then after that loss, I was bitter on our way to Conine's Clubhouse Grille. But when we got there, my day got so much brighter. Conine's was having a Hurricane Katrina charity event and Dontrelle & JP were there. We didn't know this was happening so it was all a surprise for us. There's pics here. http://public.fotki.com/cubanprncs81/flori...05/my_birthday/ Enjoy. 951618 Thanks so much for posting these and telling us about your experience meeting JP and Dontrelle!! You are so lucky!!
5. Both sides had to play with the same field. The Marlins are not concentrating and lack focus. No one's fault but their own. 951871 This is true.. but ya know the guys have a grueling schedule and have not had a day off since, what, September 1st I think? And prior to that the last one they had was in early August. It's not an excuse by any means, but I think it's possibly part of the reason for their lack of concentration and focus.
6. Dat's right.. D-Train will start off by plowin head on into the 'Stros.... 4 - 0 as it stands right now.. No excuses. f*** em up. 942573
7. Like Louie said to me this past Friday when I told him the Fish were gunna make the playoffs "Oh I hope so!" LOL! Is that really JP rappin? LOL that's awesome! This is it....i'm so pumped...I got that wiggly feel...this Houston series already has a genuine big time playoff feel to it...Just wanted to see if anyone is as pumped as I am... :dancing 942253
8. We are playing the most important series of the season on zero rest. goin into this past weekend's series, the Phillies had a nice refreshing day off last thursday.. the Marlins haven't had a day off since Sept 1st. Prior to that their last day off was August 15th I think? That's one rough schedule. And of course the teams we gotta face are no walk in the park either.. But, it's now or never, no use crying about it. LOL I just wonder how much difference a day off makes over the long haul. Now I look at Houston's schedule and see they had a lil breather this past Thursday too.
9. WOW!!! What awesome pics!!!! I got to meet Miguel and Louie this past Friday night at the Phillies game. I was so excited.. I got both of their signatures on my ball. I told Louie that I knew they were gunna do it (I meant make the playoffs) He knew what I meant because he replied, "Oh, I hope so!" He and Miguel were both VERY sweet. I should take a picture of the ball and post it.. altho it won't be NOWHERE near as cool as yours!!!! I don't know how my pics at the game turned out yet. I had my crappy camera because it's small and I was right on the field off 3rd base so I didn't think I needed my heavier, better one. But the lights where so damn bright and I bet they washed out most of my pictures.. ah well, I can't complain! Tara
10. you won't find a nicer guy in baseball than Giambi 933739 That's so true! I'm a huge Giambi fan, and have heard nothing but great things about how awesome a person he is. Some friends and I were hangin outside Yankee stadium a couple weekends ago, and stood near where the players come in, not standing close enuff for sigs or anything, but close enuff to try and illicit a wave. We were talking with some of the police officers, who all said how great a guy Giambi is. A lot of the players didn't bother waving to us when we called their name, as we clearly were not VIP's since we were made to stand at a distance. Giambi was one of those that did. Sounds dumb but it meant a lot to me. Now, I hope to be able to report the same of the Marlins I go to see them in Philly this Friday!
11. So far in todays game, he is 3-3 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.... he hit a 3 run HR, 2 run HR and a 2 run single... also has reached 1500 hits and 1000 rbi 919206 Jason went what, 2/3 in yesterday's game against the Devil Rays, today he won the game for the Yankees with a two run homer. Outstanding!!
