Posted September 18, 200519 yr Well, we had a good time at the game today but then after that loss, I was bitter on our way to Conine's Clubhouse Grille. But when we got there, my day got so much brighter. Conine's was having a Hurricane Katrina charity event and Dontrelle & JP were there. We didn't know this was happening so it was all a surprise for us. There's pics here. http://public.fotki.com/cubanprncs81/flori...05/my_birthday/ Enjoy.
September 18, 200519 yr Author Dontrelle was having a lot of fun with everyone, which was pretty amazing after what happened. But hey, it's cool of him to have high spirits. He was awesome to meet. JP too. Both of them are two of the nicest Marlins I've met.

September 18, 200519 yr Author Nothing much in particular. Just telling Dontrelle to keep up the good job this year. When he came to our table, he took a picture with our friend and he was like, "Ok now have some food and some drinks and enjoy." He was really cool with us. Had some laughs with him too. With JP, same thing pretty much. Max told him it was my bday and stuff. When he got to our table, he saw our Cracker Jack bday dessert and he was like, "Oh yea, it's your birthday." He wished me a Happy Birthday again and we all took a picture with him. He even watched a little part of the UM game with us.
September 18, 200519 yr jealousy-o-meter rises... I need to visit that place soon. Your B-day turned out great!

He is such a class act and an inspiration to everyone around him.
September 18, 200519 yr Author He is a class act, for real. I admire him even more after yesterday. After a depressing loss, he was still as happy as can be and having fun with the fans. By the way, we heard that it was JP & Dontrelle's idea to have that event at the restaurant. Just another example why those two rule.
September 18, 200519 yr Congratz Miri, thank you for posting the pictures. Glad to see those two with a high spirit. was Conine there?

I know JP will be with a positive attitude, and probably got to the park an hour before he usually does.
September 18, 200519 yr Author We did find it a little strange that Niner wasn't there but who knows why not.
September 18, 200519 yr Great Pics.. I am glad you had fun... If I knew about this earlier I would have gone

You are so lucky!!
September 18, 200519 yr Author Did you buy something for the Katrina relief effort? 951910 No, but we did donate.
September 18, 200519 yr Did you buy something for the Katrina relief effort? 951910 No, but we did donate. 952059 That's great. Thanks for sharing the whole experience. Happy Birthday. Did you get to see what they were selling or auctioning off. And what kind of prices it sold for.
September 18, 200519 yr Author Thank you! Well, I don't know about prices but they were raffling off a lot of cool stuff. They were raffling off batter's box seats, club seats, autographed bats and jerseys, and whatnot. I just uploaded a few more pics, btw.
September 18, 200519 yr Pretty cool stuff, Ms. MiRi. Can't wait to see Conine's joint in person. One of these days, I hope...
September 18, 200519 yr I went to Conines for my b-day (Aug 8th- *sigh* Rockies/Marlins double header). They sang to me that song :shrugs and I got the same dessert as you... it was very good
September 20, 200519 yr We did find it a little strange that Niner wasn't there but who knows why not. 951793 I found out that Niner had other plans made before the party was planned. It was funny when JP got behind the bar and started serving drinks. I think he only served beer. I can't believe that some the other guys didn't show up.
