August 28, 200520 yr So far in todays game, he is 3-3 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.... he hit a 3 run HR, 2 run HR and a 2 run single... also has reached 1500 hits and 1000 rbi
August 28, 200520 yr he is still a sterriod freak and cheater. Like all the other ones that are should be gone from the game in my eyes. But he did handle it more classy then sosa, big mac, and raffy
August 28, 200520 yr Giambi and the Five Inning Wonder were really great today. It's good to see the Yankees on a roll like this. Dare I point out Al Leiter's stats since the Marlins gave him to the Yankees?
August 28, 200520 yr Great game by Giambino. He's gone through this whole thing with dignity. I must respect him for that.
August 29, 200520 yr Dare I point out Al Leiter's stats since the Marlins gave him to the Yankees? 919563 there you go again douchebag getting off topic
August 29, 200520 yr Author I don't think he will win the comeback award but I am certainly glad he has caught the eye of a lot of analysts
August 29, 200520 yr DTrainFan: How is saying "Giambi did well, and so did Leiter" going off topic? There's nothing wrong with expanding the conversation a bit.
August 29, 200520 yr I don't think he will win the comeback award but I am certainly glad he has caught the eye of a lot of analysts 920040 He's Jason Giambi and he plays for the most famous team in the world, did you really think he'd slip under the radar?
August 29, 200520 yr DTrainFan: How is saying "Giambi did well, and so did Leiter" going off topic?? There's nothing wrong with expanding the conversation a bit. 920075 And while it may be true, I also don't appreciate the douchebag comment either. Chill it's a freaking message board. You post your thoughts here, if you don't like people posting positive things about teams other than your own - stay on the Marlins board. Al Leiter pitched well in todays game where Giambi did this, this is essentially a game thread for it. I'm not going to make a whole thread about how Al Leiter pitched great today. First of all it's not worthy, second of all I'll be burned at the stake. I think I hit a nerve. --- I don't see how Giambi won't deserve the AL Comeback Player of the Year. Whether he gets it or not is up for debate, we all remember the Hideki Matsui ROY debacle. If he is completely clean, then this is a truley amazing turnaround.
August 29, 200520 yr Good to see Giambi finally looking like he might be worth some of that contract he's got coming to him. Alot of guys would just sit back and collect his pay check but he's really worked at getting back to competitive form.
August 29, 200520 yr Author If he only did this the first 2-3 months of the season, he may very well be leading baseball in HR
August 29, 200520 yr DTrainFan: How is saying "Giambi did well, and so did Leiter" going off topic? There's nothing wrong with expanding the conversation a bit. 920075 no he was being a smart ass like mets fans are most of the time anyhow im not going to bitch about this all day Giambi has been hot all this month i think he deserves CBPOTY

August 29, 200520 yr If people are so quick to forgive Giambi, they might as well forgive Raffy despite his more blantant offense.
August 29, 200520 yr If people are so quick to forgive Giambi, they might as well forgive Raffy despite his more blantant offense. 920632 Giambi hasn't tested positive, nor was he a sure fire hall of famer, and he's doing this, at least I'd assume, without the aid of steroids. To paraphrase the Sports Guy, however this Giambi saga unfolds, it's almost destined to be made into an ESPN drama. I mean, he's either becoming an elite hitter again without steroids and against all the odds, or he's back on the juice and that would be beyond a bomb-shell.
August 29, 200520 yr I don't forgive Giambi, and his 2000 MVP Award should still be wiped off the books, but the job he has done to adjust to hitting without steroids and all the freakish power they provide, and making himself into a very good overall hitter is nothing short of amazing.
August 30, 200520 yr some of you talk like Giambi confesed on his own. given different circumstances, he would have cheated his way like Palmeiro and others did/doing he just had better advisors and handled the situation better.

The only one who has shown to be an ass in this topic is you. I'm sure you contribute just fine to the rest of the site but there really is no need to sling elementary school insults
August 30, 200520 yr Giambi with 2 more homers, 4 RBIs so far in tonights game. 921505 Damn, the Mariners are letting you guys back in? *Turns back on the game* :banghead
August 30, 200520 yr Author 4 HR 11 RBI in 2 games... that ties Arod's 2 days where he hit 3 HR 10 RBI and then a Solo HR the next night
August 30, 200520 yr Between Giambi, A-Rod & Sheffield, the yanks are tearing it up 921615 good thing they waited until the last month of the season to tear it up
