It's hard to tell. You didn't link the source or say where it came from (although it looks like Rotoworld.com) so deciphering the writer's shorthand is open to interpretation. (not a shot at you Gomarlins) It's on the Transactions page on the marlins website

"Lenny Harris and RHP Kerry Ligtenberg ASKED for their release". The way I read it that Ligtenberg,Harris,Cepicky, and Kinkade were all informed they will not be added to the 25 man and Harris and Lightenberg asked to be released, while Cepicky and Kinkade accepted their minor league assignment.

Ok...this is absolute bulls***. Kerry, Lenny, and Scott should have all made the team. My thoughts exactly

3/29/06 INF Lenny Harris and RHP Kerry Ligtenberg asked for their release; Reassigned INF Mike Kinkade and OF Mike Cepicky to Minor League camp; Optioned LHP Scott Olsen to Triple-A Albuquerque. I don't get it. Why not keep Lenny and Ligtenberg around? The only reason i can think is that there is not enough space on the 40-man. And WTF with Olsen to AAA and Mitre being our #2 starter????

i cant belive i thought they were both having excellent springs but for some reason messenger, reed, baxter are still on the roster. ligtenberg and herges should make it and i think olsen shoudl go to im pissed about andino. he and ramirez could have been great up the middle just so you know in today's sun sentinal it mentioned that baxter was taken off the 40-man

He'd be the 20 year old impressing the hell out of everyone this spring look at his ST stats: C Martinez 0-0 0.00 ERA 5 0 0 0 0 0 5.2 1 0 0 0 0 1 3

what game was the sledge grand slam? that was one of many games Jack single handedly blew Kept Manzanillo in :banghead

3/22/06 Optioned RHP Yusmiero Petit to Triple-A Albuquerque.

3/21/06 Optioned RHP Logan Kensing to Triple-A Albuquerque; Reassigned RHP Buddy Carlyle, RHP Eddie Gaillard, INF Mickey Lopez and INF Scott Seabol to Minor League camp.

I'd have: Borowski Herges Ligtenberg Mitre Nolasco Resop Tankersley
