  1. SlapHands, you need to check your statistics. Urbina has always been a great pitcher, and nothing has changed.
  2. The stadium can't be so south that it would only benefit dade... it has to be in the middle... and that's Broward. We realize that we also have a large fan base north to Palm Beach, and we want to do something about it. Our first choice is Ft. Lauderdale, but we have to keep in mind every intangible.
  3. If you were to look at Urbina's other statistics, you would see. He has a great opponents batting average, ect.
  4. I agree, these two areas would allow you to get redevelopment tax breaks and allow you to get tax money for the ballpark. That plays a big role in our decision, but so does something every realtor knows. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.
  5. You don't know much about the game of baseball if you feel Urbina is not a good/great pitcher.
  6. We have explored all possible options, and are still waiting upon the results of our "tests". BUT, we do feel that our best options are downtown Ft. Lauderdale or Bicentenial Park.
  7. We fell our only major priority is the bullpen. We want to acquire Urbina from Texas, and are currently involved in heavy talks. We have also spoken about Juan Gonzalez. Another large possibility is Jeff Conine.
  8. Yes, our unofficial All-Star 3B Mike Lowell will participate in the 2003 MLB Home Run Derby on July, 14th, and as a Florida Marlin.
  9. no u werent the Jays didnt offer u anything I wouldn't give you false information.
  10. Oh I hate to choose between all of our players. But I have to go with Miguel tonight. Because of his open stance he may be able to read Byung-Hyun's pitches better.
  11. :lol Admin could you check out our campaign by clicking the link in my signature and pass it on to the appropriate people in the organization. :lol I already have, and sent an E-Mail to them. I am glad to do anything for a fan who wants to watch the team. One question, though. Why not go to the game?
  12. u didnt revice any offer from the Blue Jays good one Mr.Poser We were offered quite a package of Minor-League prospects, but gracefully declined. :thumbup
  13. the food cost much $$$ That is something out of everyone in the Marlins organization is out of control of. We do not own the stadium, so we cannot make those decisions. I agree. The Cubs are gunshy due to the Willis trade. Beinfest is working his psychological magic again. :lol I wouldn't put it that way, but in a nut shell, maybe...
  14. hopefully, they can finally get off lowell's balls, and leave him in the marlins!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry. Mike Lowell is secure in South Florida, playing third base for the Marlins. He will be in a Florida jersey for a while.
  15. I found this website through a search engine, trying to find Florida Marlin fan sites. The link said this was the Ultimate fan site, so here I am. Connecting with the fans.
  16. go to the espn marlins board. To much cub fans! *off topic i know* I can assure you, come August 2003 they wil be silenced. The price tag. The ticket prices? I am certain we have some of the cheapest ticket prices in baseball.
  17. We certainly made quite a pick-up when we traded for Dontrelle, He has become a great player for us, and will be with this team for a very long time. I've never heard any New York fan cheer on the member of another team. That's something very new. I would concider that a great honer.
  18. Bad joke, sorry... No problem what so ever. So everyone, please tell me what you think is wrong with this team? The way it's run, the stadium, the food, the players, everything and anything.
  19. yes... Admin Beinfest isn't Admin Beinfest but Admin is Admin Beinfest... if you understand that... I beg your pardon?
  20. Than you should get Samson and Loria on here. I can assure you, Jeffrey and David are both extreamely concerned about the fans take, but have many things on their adgenda for the day. Sorry that it is only me, but i am glad to give you information and views.
  21. thats not really Admin beinfest is it? This is he. he spelled his last name wrong... I think that pretty much gives it away... My name is currently spelled right. Like I said, I type very fast, and made an error. It wasn't as bad as some of our opponents last night, but it is fixed.
  22. Shouldn't you be working the phones and trying to improve your team instead of talking to low lifes such as us fans on the web :mischief :whistle We feel that we have become out of touch with our fans, and would like to grasp their perspective on situations involving the franchise.
  23. Isn't there a law against internet identification fraud...? :-D If you are implying that I am not who I claim to be, you are most certainly off base. This is in fact Admin Beinfest.
  24. I have already talked with Mr. Hendry about this deal in particular this morning. He told me that no trade has been made, but they are somewhat interested in acquiring Mark Loretta from the Padres.
