Agree on Samson, he's a nice guy. He was pretty cool when I hung out with him at the Trivia event last year. We were both decently drunk due to the open bar and we had a nice convo. Regarding Hech, I agree, the alternatives aren't there so we have to deal. Regarding the "black hole" at second base, if only Derek Dietrich could get more than 3 straight starts, it might not be this way. But at least Valdespin looks like he doesn't suck. I like Dietrich- but he's not the answer. No one on our system is close enough to be worth trying either. For now I'll take good defense and an out every time at bat than an out 3/4 times and an error when we can least afford it

Realistically, everyone wants to rag on Samson but he's a decent dude and friendly every time I've bumped into him. Heck- he even helped me one time with a request I had. Your rant is just that- a rant. Sometimes you need to step back and look at everything as a whole. Hech may not be good- but who else could we trade for/ sign who has any value right now above replacement. He provides sometimes stellar defense- that alone helps this staff. Last nights bobble not withstanding- he's done a decent job out there. I'm almost sure he's better than Stephen Drew too. Now the black hole at 2b? Fire away.
