  1. Is it NY style? Yeah, tastes just like Little Vincent's on Huntington's Main Street. Most of the time it's better.
  2. Do people give you hell for liking it well done? I sometimes would get comments from friends and once even a waiter for ordering it well. Yeah their assholes, then I tell them I'd rather enjoy the food then think that it used to be alive. They tend to leave me alone after that. I used to ask if I had fangs and pale skin, but that was years ago. Something about the thought of blood turns my stomach. It's a distinct iron like taste, so I try to avoid it.
  3. That puts me in the mood For Steve's pizza!
  4. The reopened fudruckers on us1 by the falls is amazing. Yup, clean- foods well made and they speak English. I wonder how long it'll stay that way. To those saying 5 guys, I found their burger to be too greasy- was this rare or do they all come like that. This was twice at the one on Kendall and 107th.
  5. There's a great little place on 117th and Sunset across from a BJ's. It's called rockin burger, used to be a food truck called Yellow Submarine. Best burger I've had in a while.
  6. In groups of three- I like most steaks well done, however I'm not picky about the cut. Anyone believe I should be? Just realized the bottom is only two-

I'll post a pic eventually, I'm too lazy snuggled up in bed right now. Pic or it never happened.
  8. Filing a lawsuit isn't cheap, either. Lawyers aren't easily going to spend the time and money filing lawsuits with almost no chance to win, especially with poor, i.e. homeless clients who are unlikely to be able to pay for the lawyer's time. You would be surprised what a lawyer will do for a bigger cut of the pie.
  9. Yeah, I don't see how the two situations are remotely comparable. And I think you can file a lawsuit for pretty much anything; that doesn't mean that it won't be thrown out. Exactly, but most times you need to pay for representation. If it doesn't get thrown out most settle since it can end up cheaper. Then again I'm sure the state has its own stable of attorneys. I just woke up. That was a great nap- midnight to 4:30pm
  10. Can't possibly be worse than Perez. 271/344/471/815 over 15 years indicates that he has a pretty good clue about how to hit. His peak year was 296/371/577/948. 503 PAs per year over 16 years of mostly full-time play. Perez never had more than 330 PAs in 13 years and averaged 157/year. Nepotism sucks. Hiring actual talent is better. We don't know for sure that Martinez can coach what he obviously knows how to do, but he has to be an improvement on total uselessness, no matter how bad he may be at coaching. Playing days have nothing to do with ability to coach. One of the most popular phrases in the world is "those who can't do, teach" I can't throw a curveball, but I could teach someone how. Does that make me a bad pitcher, yes. A bad coach- nope.
  11. On my phone with no sleep, this should do. Not exact I don't believe but similar to my previous statements http://www.correctionsone.com/law-and-legislation/articles/5919244-Kan-sheriff-gets-wrongful-death-claim-over-inmate-suicide/
  12. They must not want to be sued for a bums high blood pressure and chlorestoral. I hope you are joking. Speculation, Joking, and curious all in one. There has been precedent for frivolous lawsuits from family who believe the states have caused or contributed or were negligent in deaths. Think a death row inmate being placed on suicide watch to prevent the family from suing for mistreatment and negligent care. I say let them hang themselves if they feel so inclined btw Precedent in cases involving homeless people in government facilities? Prove it. First of all, sovereign immunity is a massive hurdle. Second, even if you got past that, I would still expect courts to take a hands-off approach -- except in cases of intentional mistreatment -- because they don't want to discourage government programs that care for the homeless. If you re-read what you quoted it says nothing about homeless suing. Only precedent has been set for family's suing states for mistreatment. Either in prison, homeless shelters, wrongful deaths or suicides while incarcerated it has happened. Most times a settlement is made, silence for payment. In the end, it's become a "sue and take what they give you free" culture.
  13. My point was that it was an incredibly dumb thing to say. It almost certainly has nothing to do with potential lawsuits. Why else? Haven't all the public schools removed soda and snacks for potential health concerns and lawsuits from parents claiming their kids fat because the school made them that way.
  14. I'm going to ask the people. What all would everyone like to see around here? Just in general. I'm curious. Thanks in advance. **EDIT: Ideas offered so far: Merchandise discussion forums Buy and selling forum (possibly to be a subset of a Merchandise forum) Separate Adopt a Marlin section. Separate forums for all the major sports. Just to add a suggestion to a Merchandise forum, that may be better served as a "Only logged in users" can view it forum if possible. It should be a privledge to buy, sell, and get information or give reviews in there. You should be a contributing member of the site as well. Just a idea. Add that to the bottom part of the forum too if anything, down by Bullpen and Outfield. It would be a cool place to add additional sticky's for the Amazon and similar threads.
  15. Can we merge this with the walking dead thread? Seems appropriate

  17. Really? Was Paul O'Neil unavailable? Not sure how to feel about this. Has he been in the coaching aspect of the game? Should have hired Canseco or Bonds FFS. Arenr they looking for jobs?
  18. Government run is the key word. They must not want to be sued for a bums high blood pressure and chlorestoral. They can still donate to churches, Salvation Army and directly to the homeless themselves. This won't change much.
  19. There is no reason to believe this has anything to do with the Marlins. That's a bad comparison. It's likely more related to the fact that a vast majority of MLB players (particularly the Latin ones) have homes in South Florida and work out there in the offseason. It can go both ways, I should have had ??? Near the marlins portion.
  20. Das, Can you change the title to "Steroid Distribution Center in Miami?"
  21. Erick, Miami based Steroid Operation- doesn't take a long stretch. Balco-San Fran Based- Giants- Bonds This- Miami Based- Marlins- ???? With the amount on career years we seemed to have in 06-11 it might be something.
  22. @Buster_ESPN: There is mounting speculation in MLB about a BALCO-like Miami link to PEDs -- Manny, Melky (who lives there), Grandal. http://t.co/AHOZ563w
  23. Jason Bay, Eric Chavez and Jeremy Guthrie! Balling on a budget!
