November 9, 201213 yr I like a nice medium well ribeye but I've dabbled in almost every type. I try to grab a 20+ ounce porterhouse a couple of times a year just to treat myself to an unhealthy amount of meat. What's your favorite type and how do you like it made?
November 9, 201213 yr Thick cut chuck eye steak. Super underrated and inexpensive. Cooked medium rare. Is that where you got the material for your "shit" thread?
November 9, 201213 yr In groups of three- I like most steaks well done, however I'm not picky about the cut. Anyone believe I should be? Just realized the bottom is only two-
November 9, 201213 yr Author Do people give you hell for liking it well done? I sometimes would get comments from friends and once even a waiter for ordering it well.

Yeah their assholes, then I tell them I'd rather enjoy the food then think that it used to be alive. They tend to leave me alone after that. I used to ask if I had fangs and pale skin, but that was years ago. Something about the thought of blood turns my stomach. It's a distinct iron like taste, so I try to avoid it.
November 9, 201213 yr Author Medium well is my compromise, no blood still and less comments from people. I hate seeing blood in my food as well, can't ever get a rare or even a medium.

Yup, my non made a rare pot roast the other day. After microwaving the ends for me I haven't touchéd the rest. I can't stand to see a pool of red juice under it either. I've sent the food back once when I saw that. Got up and left 5 I the table for Soda and a tip.
November 9, 201213 yr I'm with ya on the rib-eye, medium medium-rare. Not too bloody though, so generally medium. Best cut of beef other than a filet that doesn't require sauce or accompaniment. I like my steak somewhat of a Pittsburgh style. Charred on the outside, red on the inside. Although lesser of the extremes.
November 9, 201213 yr Author I do love rice krispies but I prefer frosted flakes. Sounds like another topic idea actually.
November 9, 201213 yr Now I want a steak, damnit. I'm saving that for tomorrow- I think my local grocer has buy one get one London broil

November 10, 201213 yr Its not blood, dummies. Enlighten me, because if it tastes like iron I think it's part blood.

Blood is actually removed during slaughter. Same with white meat. White meat has myoglobin, just in smaller amounts. Red in higher. What is the iron I taste then, it's weird.
