the mets lost their 5th straight game, dropping to the nationals 9-8 after winning, and in their previous two games, had 10 errors. their lead as of right now is just 2 games in the east with the phillies breathing down their necks. i'm pretty shocked that the mets fell apart so fast, but that's the mets, they can't really hold at a steady clip for an extended period, they are more of a streaky team, and that could propel them to win the whole thing, if they make it.
