What will get better ratings: SNF or Game 7?
football by a mile. fox lost their window to start the game between 7:30-8:10 pm before snf came on, and now most people turned it to football instead of waiting until 8:30 for the game to start.

Goodell thinking about putting a future Super Bowl in London
bad idea. it turns the super bowl into some aristocratic holiday for the rich (not that it already isn't), and you risk alienating your biggest fans for new fans that may not like it. and i think it's a bad idea too, it's almost like flipping the fans off in this case by moving the super bowl out of the country. i'm starting to think goodell/the nfl is anti-fan with the 4 hour games because of all the ads, wanting to take away crowd noise during games, and the such. it's making me like college more. pro bowl, i would be okay with though.

Schuerholz is stepping down
Bobby Cox for GM? doubt it, frank wern is the new gm, even though bobby was the braves gm for a few years in the late 80's.
-
Schuerholz is stepping down
looks like js is staying on the braves as team president. frank wern, his assistant will take over the gm job. still not going to be the same though. have to wait until the 3:30 press conference to make it official.

Schuerholz is stepping down
i am shocked. i would have thought he would have stuck around for one more year, because i truly saw bobby, smoltz, and glavine all retiring together marking the end of the era. something must have happened.

Links to 2008 Schedules
i did this a couple of years back at another site as a part of a bigger project to post links to schedules for each team's 2008 season schedule. but with many non marlin fans here and people trying to plan out next summer's baseball road trips, i thought that we should have a thread dedicated to posting the tentative schedules of each team. of course, i'll update this post with the latest link to every team's schedule. National League Arizona Diamondbacks Atlanta Braves Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Colorado Rockies Florida Marlins Houston Astros Los Angeles Dodgers Milwaukee Brewers New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates Saint Louis Cardinals San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants Washington Nationals American League Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Kansas City Royals Los Angeles Angels Oakland Athletics Minnesota Twins New York Yankees Seattle Mariners Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers Toronto Blue Jays

about applecare: you can order it anytime in the first year of your computer's life, so you don't need to get it right away, especially if you're short of cash.

Journeyman
What did you think? I continue to like this show and wonder why it's ratings are not doing well. it's pretty decent, no idea why it's not doing well. whole different take of quantum leap, but sometimes clues come out of nowhere and it gets confusing on the subplots. i bet many people watching heroes turn away right after and go straight to the message boards to talk about it. i need at least 30 minutes after a show to absorb the information of the episode and talk about it with everyone. this is what i think killed the nine last year, which followed lost.

Buying a MacBook Pro, Need Some Help/Recommendations
if you get a wireless mouse, i say get bluetooth, since they are priced around the same, and bluetooth takes up less physical space compared to a usb port. and wait a couple of weeks, leopard and possibly a mbp upgrade is coming soon, although i haven't really heard too much rumors indicating so. I need it for work and my business trip coming out now. Should be coming Monday. I'll probably nerd out and post some pics. oh ok. good luck, and you'll love your mbp. i'm loving my macbook.

The TBS Popping Their MLB Coverage Cherry Thread
Why is it that the media always complains about the 10 pm start times in the first round? This is in reference to Mike Greenberg ranting about it on ESPN. When will they get the idea lodged in their head that with west coast baseball, this is inevitable? 10 pm et starts are not a problem. 11 pm et starts however can be a problem. and i bet west coasters were ranting about 10 am pt starts a few years ago. caused me to miss almost all the braves 2000 playoff action because all three games started at 10 am pt and i couldn't see them because it was way too early.
