evan cohen of espn 760 (who hates dontrelle) thinks that his market value just went way down and that the squeaky clean image he puts on is a bit fake at the start of the show. he also beleives that this was a what goes around comes around sencario for the marlins as they have treated giradi like dirt before getting rid of him. but he's right on one thing, prehaps he shouldn't be on boys and girls club ads for a while becuase of the dui. you don't do that.

i have a few things in my collection, mostly pretty bland though. i have a autograph ball i bring to games for baseball players to autograph, and a display in my room of a super bowl seat cushion and then side by side, autographed balls of roger clemens (personally signed) and koby clemens that i got in march through one of my friends in the astros orgization. i also have a kobe bryant poster from the getty in la of him sitting somewhere at the getty (this was pre sex scandal though), and some old jerseys and hats from giveaways. i'll try to take some pictures of at least some of the stuff later.

i'm only saying that could be a possiblity for dtrain, and that i'm hoping he doesn't go down the path of furcal. i think dtrain learned his lesson and he better not get caught with another dui anytime soon, otherwise he's going to jail for a month or so. :nono yes, furcal has a bit of a history of alchol abuse, i won't deny that, and i've been ashamed at times to be a fan of his, but i stick by him. and that also means i'm defintley still going to like dontrelle.

ouch. i really like dontrelle too, and i thought this guy was your version of john smoltz, guy with a squeaky clean record. instead, he could be following the route of rafael furcal. :confused i stil like furcal, but was shocked when he got in trouble for a dui in his rookie season. got a second shock when we found out he was actually 22, not 19 at the time. got yet another one after he got busted the second time. just make sure dontrelle doesn't make a habit of it.

i would also like to say from the braves community to the marlins, have a happy december. and btw, not everyone celebrates new years on jan. 1 in case we want to get into the issue of political correctness. whaa? do you mean rosh hashanah? or.. chinese newyear or something? yeah.

i was wondering why they were thinking about having that game just hours to gametime, when the airport was closed and the city was basically shutdown. btw, tonight's flames-alavanche game has been postponed due to the continuing bad condtions in the area.

congrats on your best week ever. good luck with that new job of yours, and try to pay off those dreaded college loans asap. mine went simular, graduted from college on saturday, got my new macbook monday (the one i'm typing on now).

congrats on the B, hollyberry. stats was a bit confusing for me when i took it last year, even though i aced calculs in high school and got ap credit for the class. i think i was a bit rusty not taking a intensive math class for a while, even though i got like all a's in math back in high school. i think i saw a bit more rust when i tried to tutor one of my friends who was in danger of failing college algebra for a second time. i guess that's the kind of thing we have to keep excersing in order to stay sharp. thankfully, i just finished college, and i can take a break from studying for a while. good luck for those still in it, i know how it feels in between finishing that last final and finding out your grade in that class, it's some of the most nerveracking times in college.

i got the chargers, who ironically are my second team (next to my fav new orleans saints, who i've liked for many years btw) ever since the 99 season, when i first moved to san diego. love that haray kalas (also does phillies games) did the voiceover for this, and it was just hilarious to go through.

boog schambi is a welcome change from bob rathbun, the main announcer for fox sports south the past few seasons for braves games. braves fans that have heard him have described his announcing as very dull, boring and monotone. many of the fans, who love skip and pete on the tv, are turned off by rathbun and are relived to finally have him gone. for you guys that are curious, boog will be with joe simpson for the fss/sportssouth portion of the schedule, while chip and joe do the tbs broadcasts most of the time, with skip doing 10 tbs games with either chip or joe, while pete van wiren is off tv completely. as i live in south florida as well, i know boog schambi is going to be a great addition to the braves crew for years to come, as i listened to him do marlins games for years and love his radio show. i hope that even if he leaves 790 here in south florida, he gets another radio gig in atlanta and start talking braves baseball in a market that has waned interest in the team in recent years due to be-muddled corporate ownership and vick taking over the airwaves, according to the people i know that live in that area. and capefish, the verdict is out about the braves being potential cellar dwellers among the braves fans. i don't think we'll be cellar dwellers, but alot of people have us as mediocre and i'm not expecting a great year from this team, but i'm not expecting last place yet, as i think the nationals are a bit weaker. i say the marlins will win the east as of now, but with two months before spring training to go, this isn't final. but time will tell.
