  1. Everyone should be aware of how jealous Ramp is of my baseball knowledge. Anyone who disagrees with me is just being difficult for the sake of being difficult. It must be hard for some of you to see such great ideas coming from people like me when you NEVER have any good ones of your own. You call me a joker, Ramp, yet I have never seen a good post from you that has anything of any signifigance to say. I am such a genius, and you are not. I am a joker? That is a risable statement made by a baseball fool. :lol
  2. Why do we get guys on base and fail to score so often? Let's see..... 1.) Hanley Ramirez- gets on base and is a good hitter. 2.) Dan Uggla- gets on base pretty well, good hitter, great power. 3.) Miguel Cabrera- gets on base, is an excellent hitter, great power. 4.) Mike Jacobs- gets lucky and runs into one every once in a while. 5.) Josh Willingham- can take a walk, average hitter. 6.) Jeremy Hermida- can walk, but an automatic out otherwise. 7.) Miguel Olivo- sucks. Automatic out. 8.) Alfredo Amezaga- Cabrera's boyfiend gets cheap hits, but is an automatic out otherwise. 9.) Pitcher- automatic out. Our 1-3 hitters are productive, and get on base well... after them, our 4 and 5 hitters fail to get them in most of the time. And 6 through 9 are gifts from us to the other team's pitcher. we have three guys we can depend on in that lineup, and they usually aren't all going to have great nights all at once. The way the lineup is constructed is retarded. Hermida has not shown the ability to hit for s*it, but has shown that he can walk a little. He isn't very fast, but batting him leadoff would at least allow him to contribute in the one way he possibly can. Amezaga handles the bat well, but has no power at all. I would bat him second so as to give Hermida a chance to be moved over for Cabrera, who I would bat third. Hanley would be a good fourth hitter as he can hit for power and average. Uggla batting behind Hanley as a 5th hitter would be fine since he could come up with more runners on base than he would as the second hitter. jacobs doesn't offer much protection for Uggla, but since I don't believe in "protection" in the lineup much (a good hitter is a good hitter) than that doesn't matter, so I'd bat Jacobs 6th. Willingham can hit 7th with Olivo behind him. And that is that. I don't think that is a powerhouse of a lineup, but it seems to make more sense than the one we roll out there every night that leaves tons of runners stranded and many expletives uttered. 1.) hermida 2.) amezaga 3.) Cabrera 4.) Hanley 5.) Uggla 6.) jacobs 7.) Willingham 8.) olivo 9.) automatic out. Don't see how you can argue with that. Some of you with man-crushes on Josh Willingham might want him to bat higher in the order, and if that is the case, he and Jacobs are interchangeable. :thumbup

  4. Fredi Gonzalez doesn't have to explain why his family lives in Atlanta while he lives here for 81 games during the regular season. His job is nothing like a job that most of us have on this board. Even if his family did live here- he would not see them on a regular basis during the course of the season. And his kids have grown up in a completely different environment than what Miami is. I honestly wouldn't want my children attending school in a place like Miami if given the choice. Who knows what his reasons are for not wanting to live down here with them, and why does it matter? With all of the things wrong with this franchise, it baffles me that it is even a topic of mild discussion as to where Fredi Gonzalez chooses to keep residence. Who the f*ck cares! If he wants to live in Madagascar in the off season, let him. It doesn't say ANYTHING about the future of this franchise. What does say something is the fact that when our good young talent reaches their arby year all at once- we will have ANOTHER fire sale, and about 6 people in the stands every night. This team is in trouble as long as Loria is at the helm. That abrasive little s*it that he sends out to be the ambassador for our new stadium push really doesn't help matters either. Fredi Gonzalez' wife's address means NOTHING. :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
  5. Today we played against two teams. The Braves of Atlanta and the Marlins, which be RePreZzentiN DaT 305 :cool what what- and they both handed us our asses. That's not fair.
  6. Was this first post a joke? I saw that someone got pretty upset when the one guy asked the guy who started this topic why is his English is getting worse.... What is going on here??
  7. It would be nigh impossible to speak euphemistically in regard to the Florida Marlins at the present time.... :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead Outside of Cabrera, Uggla, and Ramirez, these eyes have not seen baseball bums such as these 'round these parts for, oh, say 'bout 9 years.
  8. I agree with you. I wonder what their problem is. Maybe they need some tenderness though. People should not boo them, it probably hurts their feelings.
  9. :mad The defense is RIDICULOUS. Even when they aren't making errors, they are not making plays that major league baseball players are supposed to make. It is inexcusable that these people are out there every day playing this game and this is the best they can show us. Maybe playing for a team with such instability and uncertainty in regard to its future affects their play on the field. I know it affects the fanbase... But still, they are paid A LOT of money (even the the league minimum is A LOT of money to most of us) to play, and they just seem to go out there, show up, and collect a paycheck. Tonight was the first time in 11 years that I have left a game early out of pure disgust and resentment. This is a tough team to watch, and when we have our next firesale, what will be left? The ownership bitches about the attendance, but how can they expect anyone to show up when the product on the field routinely goes out and plays like crap. I am not talking about losses- even the best team will lose about 60 games a year. I'm talking about games that we conced victory to the other team by simply being stupid, lazy, or both. Without stability in the organization, the only way to attract people to that orange nightmare of a pisshole is to put a quality team on the field. NONE of them can field worth a damn, and the 5-9 hitters are automatic outs. If the scoring isn't done at the very top of the order- there is virtually no chance of scoring. Also, Jeremy Hermida just plain sucks, and hot dogs cost too damn much... And this figurine they gave away tonight looks more like Jason Wood if he were to fall asleep in a tanning booth for an hour than it does Miguel Cabrera. And change that stupid airboat race already! New sound effects would be nice also. Can't wait to hear Joan Jett play "I love Rock n Roll" for 30 minutes tomorrow night. I still have my fingers crossed that they can somehow manage to get Flock of Seagulls or Tears for Fears to show up one Saturday. Dan Uggla is the worst actor ever. I would hate to see the takes of that commercial of him harrassing the lady and her kid while they are grocery shopping that didn't make the final cut.
  10. While I am on a rampage, I thought I might add that Dave Van Horne is the worst baseball announcer on earth, and whatever other planet baseball or any variation of the game is played on. I don't need to go into details about the man's "work", but anyone who disagrees with me should go see an audiologist first thing tomorrow morning.
  11. And Jorge Julio has a 1.46 era with the Rox... Would you like to have him back here any time soon sir? If I never see Randy Messenger and his stupid hat way down in his stupid face again it will be too soon.
