  1. DVH is saying it was actually a good call He tagged him but the ball popped out on the tag. that still counts as a tag... like when you drop the ball on the transfer for a double play, the guy is still out at 2nd base it wasn't a transfer. he was not reaching for the ball with his right hand. he was safe.
  2. he was out... he dropped the ball...
  3. i was at the game on monday, and by the crowd recation, one would of thought they had just won the world series! mets fans are also very sensitive. cheering for the other team makes them sad and they take it very personally. i was once told to "stand up" because "you're in shea stadium" after a mets home run once, even though i was decked out in fish gear. Mets fans are the worst!
  4. If by quality stuff you mean a flat fastball and a slider he cant throw effectively...so just a fastball then. Lindstrom's fastball was electric last year and his slider worked well. I 100% agree this year both have been completely flat and ineffective. I attribute this to his injury, but I believe he will recover and regain what he had last year. However, he should of never of been in the closing role until he was 100%. This is on management.
  5. folks, lindstrom has quality stuff. The fact is, he's not ready to be closing games yet. He was injured and it clearly shows. I blame this on management for not recognizing that lindstrom is injured, and still putting him in critical situations. Nunez and Calero both have the stuff to close games. It's not like our bullpen is in desperate need of a closer. It's just silly they put him in to close before he was 100%. Poor management.
  6. i have no problem with matt being the guy (he was awesome end of last year) but the dude has been INJURED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he should be FULLY recovered until he is allowed to close games. He has looked horrible all season thus far. Let him show that he is full recovered before you put him in, otherwise you hurt the team as seen by tonight, and almost during the other save he blew (which the fish came back to win).
  7. Kiko has my vote. He came into a tough situation and performed beautifully. He then followed it up with a nice inning. Great move by Fredi to put him in.
  8. hi guys, my first post here, so first off, hello! Now, with all these discussions of whether spring training really matters, I was wondering if anyone had anyone recalled how the fish did last year during spring training?
