Morrison gets chewed out by Edwin
This guy is a good manager. I like him a lot. Good managers don't air their conversations with players to the press

4/25 POST GAME!
I was so excited I stayed up all night working out possible trades for Nunez.

4/25 POST GAME!
1 side note, am i the only one that feels that ryan webb is pitching or warming up in about every single game thus far? He was a full time starter until 2009. He'll be fine. Another candidate to replace Vostad in the rotation.

Edwin still intent on wearing John Buck out. He can suck it up....he has sleep at night to rest or rest on plane ride. But yea, this is starting to get like last year. Give Hayes 2 starts for every 10 games. Buck has never caught more than 118 games a year.

Cogs hitting over 350 and all his HRs against rhp Not so good against lefties this year. .154

Donnie better start hitting or he may be back in AAA

What is Hanley's problem at the plate?
He stands too far from the plate and then has to move his lower body to get into hitting position.

Why are the Marlins not considering a Leo Nunez trade?
We don't need anymore damn closers. We have a bullpen full of future closer types. Find a team that needs one and make a deal for a bat. Whom do you expect in return for Nunez?

Why are the Marlins not considering a Leo Nunez trade?
Yeah, late inning bullpen guys are easy to find. Which is why the Yankees, the Red Sox, the White Sox, Arizona, the Angels, and Toronto all had to pay $3.5 plus a year for free agent relief pitchers in the off season. Ok. Because our payroll is totally comparable to the likes of the Yankees, Red Sox, and White Sox, and Angels, right? Your Arizona/Toronto examples are horrible, btw. Arizona paid ONE reliever (Putz) who's actually better than Leo and has proven throughout the course of his career that he's elite when healthy. Toronto gave all of their relievers one-year contracts with the idea of trading them in July (as rentals) for prospects to continue their rebuild. Late inning guys of moderate reliability are hard to find and expensive. Which is why Nunez is NOT easily replaceable. Whom do you expect in return for Nunez?

Playoffs to expand to 10 teams in 2012
Tommy Hutton suggested that teams in the 1 game playoff are forced to use their best starter. How do you define who is the best starter? Unless the best starter pitched in the past three days.

Why are the Marlins not considering a Leo Nunez trade?
Badenhop's ERA in New Orleans is Eight Something.

Why are the Marlins not considering a Leo Nunez trade?
So we should trade a reliever, the closer, who is performing at a high level and who comes at market value (Matt Lindstrom has a two year, $6.6M deal) for a position player whom no one can name to fill a spot that the FO has already designated for our top minor league prospect. The term "Fantasy League" is aptly named.

Why are the Marlins not considering a Leo Nunez trade?
Exactly Nunez's value will be pretty high at the end of this year if the Marlins don't want to give him seven to eight million next year.

Nunez is the man

Will team do this trade?
Can't remember the numbers on Wright's contract but I remember reading on MLBtraderumors that they are pretty friendly. Id love to have him but it probably require us to give up a good amount. Dominguez, Ozzie, Leo, and probably some one else. I think he'd be a big boost to our lineup down the stretch if we picked him up. Wright makes fourteen odd million this year and fifteen next year with a sixteen million dollar option for 2013.

4/23 Colorado Rockies @ Florida Marlins
Vasquez is going to hand them the game. Two 4 pitch walks already wtf? I'm glad he missed a start to work on his mechanics.

I swear it has to be mental. Give him no time to think and he makes the throw fine. If there is one thing Tulo has Hanley beat for sure it's his arm. Uhh... right now Tulo is better than Hanley in eveyr facet of the game. So is Castro

Hanley being Hanley I wonder what he was daydreaming about

Clay Hensley
I don't think this is an option a month into the season. I think Volstad can hold a 5th spot and I'm willing to give Vazquez 2 more starts to show something. 2 more starts for a guy with a $7 million contract, one of the most consistent starters in baseball 2000-2009, your top minor league alternatives (Sanabia, West) are injured, where you'd really have to turn to Koehler who projects as a back of the bullpen guy in the bigs, or you start stretching out literally Badenhop which probably is not a good idea 2-3 times through an order. I'd say, he gets about 12 more starts to see if his velocity, control, or performance improves. Only eleven more to go.

Will team do this trade?
http://bleacherrepor...ts-david-wright As you can see, this guy thinks team should trade for Wright of the Mets. But we may have to give up Cousins, Matt Dominguez, and O-Martinez. Would it be worth it? YES YES
