  1. It being April is an old excuse than ran out after the first week, and a realistic fan of the Marlins would be disappointed with this team so far and like a few realistic fans have said on this board, these loses aren't going to help are chances for a wild card spot late in the season, especially considering how we are blowing leads. That's one thing, but cut the mocking out. We're all pissed at the Marlins, there's no need to troll each other like we're the ones to blame for taking a stance of being more patient because it IS April. Eh, it's just hard to have much respect for users who come and here and post one sentence responses like "It's only April" really, thanks for sharing that useful information. This is a forum board were supposed to talk about the Marlins, people who want to bring their own agenda to the forum boards because they wan't a reaction aren't worth responding to and unfortunately there is a lot of people here like that.
  2. Some of you are nothing less but pure trolls. You don't think we're all f***ing pissed about that loss and the others? Of course we are, but April is EARLY IN THE SEASON. It's not a concept for you to twist around and try to take the troll moral highground so you feel better about yourself. It's pathetic, we're all frustrated and annoyed, but seriously... get a grip. 3. I'm more upset at the lack of offense than Bell blowing this game. We've scored like what, 4 runs this whole series? That's just awful. Yea seriously and even how we got the second run, it makes the loss hurt less knowing we only had 2 runs, from our beyond anemic offense. Bell is really really bad he was walking guys and then even gave up a hit, I guess it goes to show that the Marlins front office should be more careful next time they think about paying a large amount of money for a closer.
  4. On the "benefit of the doubt" side, Bell hadn't worked in a week and it was raining. Pessimistic, yet realistic side, he's been sh*t in every appearance except against Chicago. There isn't really a benefit of the doubt, lets be realistic.
  5. Meh, it's only April. Keep telling yourself that kid. At least he's learning his months.
  6. Hey! Its still early!!!!!!!!! IT'S STILL EARLY GUIZZZZZ! LOTS OF GAMES TO PLAY!
  7. Even if we win this game this already feels like a loss.
  8. It's time to look at other options.
  9. Throw the ball right down the middle thats the only chance we have at this point.
  10. Paid too much for this kind of lack of control.
  11. If anyone finds a site that posts the episodes after they air, could they please share it with the rest of the board. It would be great if all the Marlins fans on this forum could see it one way or another. I will also be on the lookout for sites releasing the episodes. * MOD NOTE: OFFICIAL CHANNELS ONLY. No links or videos from sites not endorsed by MLB or SHOWTIME. Please, mind the board rules. Thank you.
  12. I watched the Showtime opener and I have to admit, Samson lived up to my expectations of the boss who thinks he's more than what he is. There was a scene where he's welcoming Ozzie back, and he turns to Cora and says " You made about a dozen managerial errors out there" as the interim. Maybe he did or didn't, but to backhand like that was classless but expected from him. At least Cora said 'Hey I think I did pretty good.' I have a feeling we will see a lot of that this season on Showtime coming from him, and he'll be part of the reason this team implodes. He and Loria feel this in the Dave and Jeffrey Show. I don't think they know what the 'team' concept is. Way to be a hole, Samson. :swoon and i wanted my 10-year-old to be able to watch the show, but way too many f-bombs. Samson is a step son that fell into a business that he had no part of being in, it's as simple as that. And yes he sounded like a complete idiot especially considering the Marlins won that game, why was it necessary to throw Cora under the bus, if I was Cora I would have been like peace out, good luck with your bullpen. Beyond all this Samson is just small and inconvenient.
  13. Another crucial loss with QS. That's not good. Next opponent is Dbacks. They have some good pitchers, including Kennedy, Saunders and Cahill. If we couldn't make winning series @ Arizona, we'll have to change something. It's not at Arizona it's at Miami and besides this just makes me want to see the Marlins play more road games against the NL East until they can learn how to win. This game was almost the exact same song and dance from last night. The season is still young and our hot start last year followed by a dud should remind anyone that things can change on a dime, although that still doesn't mean this is fun seeing them play like this nor is this really anything new from much of last year other than better pitching. Also whats with the errors, and especially in the outfield? I feel like Stanton already has 8 errors (I know it's not that high, but come on) I hate to say this right now but I kinda miss Cody Ross both on offense and defense.
  14. Since I do not currently have showtime, I wonder if all the episodes will be shown on youtube just a few days after they air live?
  15. it was ridiculous to pull JJ in the 7th after his FIRST WALK OF THE NIGHT with 2 outs...maybe if it was a leadoff walk and he was already at 102 pitches...but he was moving pretty easily through the lineup and had one hiccup. yes, i realize hindsight is 20/20 but I was screaming at the television like a madman when he did that crap move so it's not like i'm looking back on it now. JJ has the track record to deserve every opportunity to get ONE more out there. What an absolutely asinine move. And then to watch him use nearly the entire pen in one inning to go after one more out was utterly disgusting. I have no idea what in the hell he was thinking there. Atrocious managing. As for tomorrow....yeah right...Dickey dominates us if I remember correctly. Stanton has looked terrible and Reyes has been a bust so far. Can we please see Boner leading off at least? I wanted to see that to start the year and I want to see that now...he's primarily a singles hitter and has an awful time bunting people over anyway so it only makes sense he leads off with his speed and slashing style. He's coming off a pretty bad shoulder injury. You don't push it this early in the year, especially when your bullpen has been great up untill this point. The bullpen hasn't been great, in fact they started off last year much better than they are pitching this year and Mujica has been awful, not to mention Bell's two nearly three implosions trying to win us games or keep the game tied, and now this. You do not send a pitcher out for the 6th inning and pull him after 2 outs because you are worried about a possible injury, that doesn't even make sense, we have all seen JJ's stuff and if anyone could have finished the inning it would be him. The reason Ozzie pulled Johnson is because he wanted to match up against the lefties that were coming up. He said after the game he had a plan to leave Johnson in until the left handers came up in a row and assuming he had a 1-2-3 inning and then he would go to the pen in the 8th, but it just didn't work out. The offense needs to pick it up if were going to have any chance in this division, especially considering there is going to be days when our pitcher isn't on his game. Also this team is basically an exact match of what we saw in spring training, great pitching and little runs to back the pitching, finished spring with a slightly below .500 record and right now we have a slightly below .500 record, need to be more consistent with scoring runs.
  16. Zambrano: 7.0 IP - 2 H - 1 ER - 6 SO. Sanchez: 7.0 IP - 5 H - 2 ER - 8 SO. Johnson: 6.2 IP - 3 H - 1 ER - 9 SO.
  17. This is all Ozzie's fault. He messed up in the 7th by replacing pitcher after pitcher like that. Yea, when he immediately pulled JJ, I felt a quick sense of "NO!" because I'm so used to previous managers waiting it out before pulling a starter. That being said I had faith in Ozzie's decision until he starting playing musical chairs with the bullpen, who undoubtably all sucked tonight, it looked like they were all rusty.
  18. This team is painfully exhausting at times. Sometimes I will just watch Ranger games to see runs scored. Hanley Ramirez cooled way off, Jose Reyes thinks he's Giancarlo and Stanton forgot how to hit the ball out of the park. It's inexcusable for the bullpen to blow it like that though and Mujica hasn't impressed me at all. Imagine how good this team would be if we had consistent hitting and were a team that scored lets say an average of 5 runs per game. :o That being said Strasburg and Santana are no slouches, still I would like to see a better output by the offense. Oh well new game tomorrow and still a long season.
  19. I really hate this team sometimes.
  20. Stanton... (don't say it)
