Hey gang, A Phillies fan here. Congrats again on your World Series win! Mesa is indeed gone, Lord be praised. As far as the Wagner trade goes, couldn't be happier about it - acquiring Wagner plugs the biggest hole we had last year, and gives up comparatively little in return. Brandon could rebound in the future and be very good for Houston, but he had nagging injury trouble, and didn't show very good stuff between the ears this past season, especially between the ears. Here's to good baseball in the NL East next year!

I think the Red Sox would be under more pressure than the Yanks, for the same reason the Cubs were feeling the heat (curses and whatnot), but no doubt the Yanks would be under a great deal of pressure to beat the Fish and to do it quickly and decisively - which I don't see happening.

No disrespect meant, but I highly doubt the Yanks are thinking about you guys at all right now - their minds are fixated squarely on the Boston Red Sox right now. Tomorrow, it may be a different story, but right now I don't imagine the Fish are real high on their list of things to think about.
