Marlins @ Phillies, 6/26 7:05 P.M.
This lineup looks terrible. I want Yelich back AND DD in. And what is with these weird lineups where we bring in Jeff Baker at the end of a series...It's like we are content with a win and feel like giving away a game... ...I really want him to rub my nose in it tonight.

Turner reminds me of the Volstad. Just give up...he is not magically going to be good. As for Disco...he just looks flat. From my couch seat...it looks like he is a slider pitcher who doesn't have any cut. And his fastball is what...90? Other than being young...what is the upside? He hasn't exactly torn anything up. We will flounder for a couple more weeks...they will trade hits and cishek for high upside pitching....and Jones to the Yankees for cash considerations...the front office will come out with some line like, "we think we win the team we have." Circle of life. Is it hockey season yet?

6/22 Mets @ Marlins 1:10 PM
McGehee isn't going anywhere. Jones will because he has a clear replacement. Why wouldn't they trade Mcgehee? He's controllable and will bring in assets. They could move him and get something for next year...or just pocket the cash... Tell me something...are you just intentionally contrary? You are like forum VD.

The front office probably loves this. They need the team to do bad enough to be sellers in disguise. Just need a 5-10 run at least and it will be complete. They will get rid of Hits and Jones for sure. Cishek maybe. Stanton could be gone too.

If nothing else...I hope that this proves ANY trade with Detroit will blow up in our face.

I would bet that Disco is sent down for Brian Flynn, but if you DFA Turner, the question is who replaces him? Hand.

Umpires still screwing this team, as usual; that was Ball 4 to Jones. The Blue have screwed the Fish for years; thank God for instant replay this year, or we would have lost several more games due to them. So now they just screw us on balls & strikes. My theory on this is that this organization, because of the ownership, gets no respect from anyone in baseball, and that includes the umpires. Maybe there's another reason why this team constantly gets so many poor calls, but I can't think of one so I'm going with the No Respect theory, LOL... Not that I ever agree with the fandom "the officials have it out for us" argument...we have to earn respect. A handful of games with some young guns and hired mercenaries is not going to do it.
- So has everyone heard the big Stanton trade rumors from St. Louis?

Marlins Sign Cristian Olmos
The Marlins have signed 18-year-old Colombian pitcher Cristian Olmos, Joe Frisaro and Maria Torres of MLB.com write. Olmos is 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, and he throws as hard as 94 MPH and has the makings of a good curveball. He will start the season in the Dominican Summer League.(http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/05/minor-moves-simmons-olmos.html) Original Source: http://mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140530&content_id=77502616¬ebook_id=77503222&vkey=notebook_mia&c_id=mia
