June 22, 201412 yr I felt and still feel that Wolf and Slowey had no business on a major league roster. Glad they are gone. But, now what do we do with Turner and Desclafani? I'm assuming the latter can go back to the minors. But, who do we replace him with? Turner's numbers are miind-boggling. Something like 77 hits in 53 innings. I doubt there are worse numbers in the majors. But, not ready to give up on him yet. Need to keep him stashed in the bullpen. We need a 5th starter. And we need to skip the 5th starter whenever we have an off day.

June 22, 201412 yr I think Disco gets 1-2 more starts. Now Turner... If I were Turner, I would start acquiring a taste for some Gumbo and Po Boys. Might be a good idea to stock up on beads as well
June 22, 201412 yr Turner reminds me of the Volstad. Just give up...he is not magically going to be good. As for Disco...he just looks flat. From my couch seat...it looks like he is a slider pitcher who doesn't have any cut. And his fastball is what...90? Other than being young...what is the upside? He hasn't exactly torn anything up. We will flounder for a couple more weeks...they will trade hits and cishek for high upside pitching....and Jones to the Yankees for cash considerations...the front office will come out with some line like, "we think we win the team we have." Circle of life. Is it hockey season yet?

June 22, 201412 yr Sad game to lose. At least the offense looked better but a terrible start from Disco. I wasn't crazy about the starting like up set up this way though. I'm thinking Turner is done.
