Hi all, Question..now that Matt Treanor was sent to Triple A...what does that mean? Will we ever see him play again? My 6 year old liked him.....he's only 6 remember.....but he met him and he was really nice and likes to see him. Will we see him this year again??? Thanks

This is the first time we went to a signing....my husband doesn't like to pay for autographs...but Mikey is my favorite and my son begged me...so we went. It was $39 for flats and balls. However, there were lots of people taking pictures with him that didn't pay to get anything signed. He really was very talkative and because it wasn't crowded you weren't rushed away and could really stand there and have a conversation with him. Like I said we haven't gone before so I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a positive experience (other than paying $39 for an autograph..LOL). so was it pretty expensive for autographs, or were you allowed to freely talk to him or did they charge you for that too? 486962[/snapback]

Hi all, My son got some vouchers from the Billy's Bunch Fan Club that are good for one free ticket with the purchase of another. They are in outfield reserved/upper deck and are good for Sun-Thurs games only and expire 8/31. It doesn't say you have to be a child so I guess anyone could use them. Anyhow we have season tix and don't need them, so I would love to pass them along to other Marlins fans. Hi everyone, Haven't posted in a while, but do visit the boards almost daily and appreciate all the information from this board. I have learned so much about the Marlins and baseball in general..I am so glad I found this board!! Anyhow, took my 6 year old to the Coral Square today and met Mike!! He was soooooooo nice and there really wasn't a big crowd. I thought it would have been packed....but it was great and he was really personable and took the time to talk to everyone. My son was soooooooo excited!! Got some cool new baseball cards and had a great time! I will post pics as soon as I get them developed! Thanks for the info about this....

And to add to my reply to this person.....who cares if you were at FanFest and got Pierre's autograph 600 times... Maybe some people weren't able to go, maybe they did, maybe they just want another autograph....not your concern. I used to come to this website alot before I signed on because my son plays baseball and developed a real interest in the Marlins after going to alot of games this year. I am not sure about this. I keep reading all the negative comments about people being bandwagon fans and such. Who cares!!??!?! What is it your business how long someone has been a fan or not been a fan. Everyone here has a common interest, the Marlins and that's it....so take your negative crap somewhere else!

What a real jerk this guy is. Thought I was being nice posting this to let everyone know about an autograph signing......what is the bandwagon crap all about!!! It's so ridiculous. Grow Up!!!! You have no idea how long people have been fans and no one has to explain or prove anything to you, Pubes.... And I wasn't able to see Jim Palmer we were there early in the am to get our kids holiday pictures. He was there at 11.

There was a card show at the Coral Square today and there was a flyer. Juan Pierre wil be signing at the CORAL RIDGE MALL ( corner of Federal and Oakland) on Saturday 11/29 from 2-3:30 PM. Tickets go on sale 10am on 11/29. More info call 954-916-3834.

I went....took my son out of school and went with him and my 2 year old. It was crowded but not that packed. All the polticos were there giving proclamations and such... Carl Pavano. Michael Tejera, Wayne Rosenthal, Dave Sampson, Billy the Marlin were there. I was a little dissapointed because Carl Pavano was just mobbed and he wasn't that nice. I don't know if any of you met him before but he was kinda grouchy. The only autograph we got was Carl pavano. We saw the trophy but didn't take a picture with it because of the crowds. I had my little one in a stroller..it was very hard to have a stroller on the field with a crying 2 year old. As a fan, I am just happy to go to a game and never cared for autographs but my 6 year old is understanding stuff and he also plays baseball so wants autographs. I thought the people who worked for the marlins at Roger Dean were complete jerks. I asked them for some assistance...to get down on the field without taking the stroller down the stairs and they were soooo rude. Just wanted to find an easier way down from below. Needless to say by myself I had to carry the stroller down the bleachers while watching my 2 in a crowd. All in all it wasn't the best day, but at least my son got one autograph and a picture with Billy the Marlin. the best part was the ride home when I took the turnpike instead of 95 and was home in 35 minutes instead of 1 hour! LOL Did anyone else go?

I'm heading up there scene or no. But, yeah, the Ft. Lauderdale thing was horrible. Did they say anything more about it when you called? The article seems pretty vague. Hi, I spoke to a woman at Roger Dean. She said from 11-12 there would be some players, but didn't know exactly who and that the trophy will be there. She said it is open to the public for free and there will be photo opportunities with players and the trophy. I asked about autographs and she said she wasn't sure, but definately picture opps. Here's another article from a Treasure Coast newspaper. Not much more on the details. good luck....i'll be there with my two little ones. My 6 year old is still recovering from Riverfront....LOL....

I figured I'd chime in on this...we live in North Broward and have gone to plenty of games at PPS throughout the year. It's a great drive and unfortunately (due to low fan turnout), but fortunately for us the traffic leaving is no problem. My concerns are how bad will the traffic be getting into downtown with a new arena. The area near the Miami arena is disgusting. We were just at the AA Arena last week and drove by there....homeless sleeping everywhere....the traffic on 95 at an off-peak time ( 3 PM) on a saturday was terrible. 95 south is a nightmare, to me worse than NY. How much worse will the drive on 95 be to downtown? Will they improve the area surrounding the stadium? Will mass transit be a safe option? I have no problem parking in Fort Lauderdale and getting the TRI Rail if I felt safe. But we have 2 little kids. I know someone is going to jump on me and say if I was a true fan I would go no matter where the stadium is. To a point, ok, but there are a lot of other issues as well. We live close to the Office Depot Center. The ease of the drive there just makes it so much better for the Panther games, especially with little kids. Just my $.02.

Do you guys think this will be a crazy scene? My son wants to go and I am debating letting him stay home to go to this...however, we went to Riverfront last week and it was CRAZY!! He got scared and smothered, so not sure. I guess I 'll decide when we wake up tomorow? I also called the stadium to confirm this today and they told me it was from 11 -12 and the trophy will be there as well.

On channel 4 new tonight they said Letterman and his girlfriend had a baby and he is off for a couple of days. Channel 4 had a cute stoy tonight following McKeon around the streets of NY. Yankee fans were stopping him for his autograph. They said Letterman will back tomorrow and will do the interview with Jack McKeon. I am still going to watch tonight..just in case.

Hi all, I am so glad to have found this site. My question is my 6 year old loves Pudge and we took him to several games throughout the season. He cried hysterically to go to Riverfront to see them at the Parade....of course I took him and we left w/ him crying again b/c all he did was get smothered. Anyhow, I saw the post about the autograph signings...does it always work like this, that u have to pay alot to meet them? Can't u meet them for autographs at games and at Spring Training? He's working on good behavior to earn a trip up to Jupiter, but that's a while away.. Thanks for your help.
