I'm sorry to say this UNC fans because I also hate duke but duke will win. It will be close....it will be a thriller.....but duke will prevail i cant completely disagree with that. duke is a great team and they have been the dominant team as of late. i just think this is the day carolina finslly closes the gap and beats them but...it will be close :thumbup GO HEELS GO http://smilies.jeeptalk.org

now that im back from the fhsaa girls bball finals in lakeland (gulliver won), i can break down the game inside: May, Jawad vs. Sh Williams, Deng. it is important for Carolina to run their offense through sean may and force duke to send an extra man to cover him, giving other players opportunities. also getting byron sanders and justin bohlander minutes will be key to rest may. depth should not be a problem in the middle for duke, since they have shav randolph on the bench. Deng's versatility is a plus outside: Felton, McCants, Jackie Manuel vs. reDICK, ewing, duhon felton's job is to keep the tar heels under control. too often the cameron crazies intimidate opponents into turnovers, so felton will need to make smart passes. duhon must do what hes done all year: lead the blue devils. rashad mccants cant be out on the 3 point line all night. he plays his best basketball taking it to the hoop by using his speed to get to the bucket. the most intiguing defensive matchup could be manuel vs. reDICK. manuel shut down reDICK in chapel hill earlier this year, but he will not be 100 percent or not play at all on saturday. bench i cannot stress this enough: carolina's bench must put in productive minutes. duke won the last meeting because the heel were too slow to get back on defense, leaving duhon an easy layup for the win. the bench will become very important later in the game prediction: close game. i think carolina will get revenge, but i may be wrong. i dont know. i do know this will be a close game decided in the last minutes. and i also know that mabdul doobakus should shove it

i sure hope the nhl doesnt go im not even a huge fan of any team in the league, i just really dont want a league that had the greatest hockey players of all time just go away theres so much history in the league and, btw, the hockey hall of fame in toronto is awesome

hockey is a fine sport, but the NHL has been headed to this point for so long. there is no cap, teams overspend, have s***ty tv contracts and have even worse attendence figures. in other words, teams are spending money and making nothing back, but i do think the panthers will stay alive just look at this league. the quality of play has weakened, its become slower, and there are so many teams that are either bankrupt or near bankruptcy its not even funny this will be bigger than any other lockout in recent sports history, because teams will go

okay, its been common knowledge there will be some sort of lockout/stoppage in the NHL. with overspending on contracts, no ratings and no revenue, this is where we are i think were looking at much fewer teams

read the unc-duke article in this wks SI. muy bien! I thought the guy who wrote it s dook more than he likes UNC. It was alright but he was very pessimistic in his comments about players such as Kris Lang. Also the whole liberal, conservative deal I didn't like since I am a Carolina fan that is conservative. Although I didn't agree with him on everything I thought it was a good read. i thought he did a great job outlining the difference between the two schools and showing how deep the rivalry goes i did disagree on the liberal/conservative, although he did point out dean smith is super liberal and krybaby is conservative the whole thing about lang i agreed with completely the thing about capel i disagree finally: something in SI ripping duke. i thought id never see the day :thumbup

cmon people there is traffic from my house to odc id have to take the 826 which is death at 5pm-6pm then drive through more traffic finally get to the arena (ill admit it, its really nice) the destination is not worth the journey on the other hand, it takes me much less time to get to AAA. the way to get around the traffic is to avoid Biscayne, take 95 and park to the west of Biscayne how about this: i jump on metrorail and im there in under 30 besides, the panthers blow wow! were only 9 pts out of losing to the 1 seed in the east. talk about improved call me when they dont suck

I was at the game, actually. I'm exhausted. It was Senior Night. Last time we lost was way back in my freshman year, on Senior Night, against Maryland. Then, we beat the crap out of UNC, and didn't lose another game the rest of the way. Hopefully, that will happen again, and then we can all celebrate by doing our math problems while completely smashed. It was frustrating/shocking, but we're ready to move on... why was last night senior night? the seniors last game is saturday that shows the thought process of a universiy that calls arenas indoor stadiums anyways, UNC is on the way up and DUKE is sliding a bit im ready for saturday

the panthers are too far theres too much traffic getting up there they havent been to the playoffs in years but getting back to the manatees i loved going to games at the miami arena, and now there going to maitland. this will only be worth it if miami arena is the site of the new ballpark

does anyone know if theyll finish out the season at miami arena or if there moving immediately i hope they pick Kendall over Maitland....

The way I see it, the City isn't going to change from their stance on wanting to site the ballpark on the OB property. Which leads me to ask what are they planning to do with the parking lots Marlins2003 have alluded to? the miami arena is now falling into place because the city will make 25 million from sopher if there is no miami arena, there will be a new marlin stadium

how would you guys rate the area Miami Arena is in? not the best place to be alone but after a sporting event (like past heat games) its just fine

the arena will be sold no matter what happens with the marlins, right? im asking because im a fan of the minor league haockey team the manatees, and if the arena is sold, there done
