#1 seeds

the Gators played Louisville this season, and have played such teams as DePaul recently. It's not unheard of.

conference USA is not a mid major though

even though IU sucked atleast we didnt have a cupcake schedule

same goes for Michigan State

schools need to man up and play a home and home series(1 this year, 1 the next).... stop being such babies

i think the locked up #1 seeds should be stanford, kentucky, saint joes. the last should go to OK state if they win the conference. if they dont, that last 1 seed should go to dook

The #1 seeds went to St. Joe's, Stanford, Duke, and Kentucky.

For those who continue to think Stanford is better than St Joe's because they play in the Pac 10,

St Joe's had a tougher schedule this year...

well look at that.

4 teams from the 'sorry' A-10.

People hate actual basketball anymore, Das...

which is why The A - 10 is so underrated.

The teams representing The A - 10 can bang it out with anyone and outwork you which will give some of the pampered flashy schools fits.

and, big conference teams dont want to play them because they arent cupcakes or badass teams. I'll take the Gators schedule for example. We played FSU, Arizona, Maryland, and Louisville this year. We also played cupcakes. Combined with an SEC schedule, we had the 6th SOS this season. So, what's the point in UF playing midmajors? We get a great combination of good and bad teams, combined with playing in a great conference, and we have very tough schedule.

records, strength of schedule, etc. I mean, a computer can determine it faster, i suppose.

But in the end, performance of the teams against teams they play is what determines it.

so if florida gets upset by manhattan does that mean florida sucks?

:hat

it means manhattan is better than them. I count 6 SEC teams in the big dance. If overall, those 6 teams do terrible in the tournament, then the SEC is overrated. Same for any conference. What if Duke, MD, UNC, etc. dont even make it to the sweet 16? The ACC is overrated.

what i don't get is that people are so quick to point out their conference when they had maybe the toughest non conference schedule in the nation and went undefeated
