March 17, 200422 yr Hialeha Park has enough room for the race track, parking, and the ballpark. The race track has restaurants, shops and fountains that can be opened again. It is close to MetroRail, has the 826 and US 27 nearby and is cheaply available since the City of Hialeah owns the land.
March 17, 200422 yr LETS GO SAMSON THE FANS HAVE SPOKEN!!!!!!!!!! :whistle i'M SCARED OF GETTING A CURSE
March 17, 200422 yr LETS GO SAMSON THE FANS HAVE SPOKEN!!!!!!!!!! :whistle i'M SCARED OF GETTING A CURSE why would there be a curse? makes no sense. the race track site would be left alone and the ballpark built in a spare parking lot.
March 17, 200422 yr how would they be cursed by having it in the race track?!?!?! its quite the contrary, it should be an honor with the history behind it
March 17, 200422 yr Curse because the dead horses which r now glue will rise up and put a 100 year curse :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol
March 17, 200422 yr lmao, well thats a stupid option theres no reason to think a [/b]could possibly curse the franchise. when it is the only hope left to keep it in south florida, new stadium or good bye for good!
March 17, 200422 yr OK. I've been studying the maps of the area that's been brought up. Here's the thing: The track takes up almost the whole eastern flank of the property. OK, I'm not breaking new ground but I haven't been there since...ever...so please bear with me. Then there are the stables that dot along the western side of the are...or what appear to be the stables. There appears to be a bit of surface parking on the north and south ends. The rest are the historic places like the admin building or somewhat... So the question I ask you guys is where exactly would you place a ballpark? Does that mean that the stables would go? Would you have a multi-story garage alongside a stadium? Don't worry if you don't know cause I don't, either. :mischief
March 17, 200422 yr someone tell me: is there still racing there and, if so, how many races per year? btw id prefer downtown sites over hialeah, but if it keeps the fish here, ill go to hialeah
March 17, 200422 yr how would they be cursed by having it in the race track?!?!?! Well, in 1930s, Al Capone used to go to the race track every day.
March 17, 200422 yr samson and loria can reopen the race park and host ballgames and races. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. :hat
March 17, 200422 yr turn the racetrack into a waterpark, tear down the stables, the administration building could be turned into hotel/ restaraunt just an idea
