April 2, 200422 yr Darling, I wasn't trying to argue with you. I was poking fun at you. Why don't you get it? I don't care about debating with you. Hey, if you think you're going to Heaven, kudos to you! Good luck and I wish you well!
April 2, 200422 yr Author Darling, I wasn't trying to argue with you. I was poking fun at you. Why don't you get it? I don't care about debating with you. Hey, if you think you're going to Heaven, kudos to you! Good luck and I wish you well! Why are you continuing to waste your time posting to me and continuly just angering your creator more so? Run! Run! Run for the hills babe!
April 3, 200422 yr I'm stuck in front of a computer for 3 hours, so I hope you guys enjoy my company. Haven't you ever heard of Solitare? Geez- Sori- I feel sorry for you. I've gone back and read most of your posts and in almost every one, you consistantly bait people, mostly with religious issues. Are you that unsure of your own beliefs? Does your church teach you to constantly harass others. Yes, I said harass. That is what it is becoming. Are you capable of posting a reponse without being confrontational? Prove me wrong- I'm Jewish and I don't give a rat's ass about heaven or hell. I'm worried about what I'm doing here on Earth with the time God has given me. I'll let my actions speak at my judgement hour. Get off your high horse and come down to earth with the rest of us Marlins fans. He doesn't go to church, he's agnostic.

I'll let my actions speak at my judgement hour. Get off your high horse and come down to earth with the rest of us Marlins fans. I admit, I did bait people after the initial post, because close minded people chose to openly disrespect me instead of just ignoring something they were too stupid to accept. I just returned the favor. No one is putting a gun up to your head and forcing you to read what I write, so why purposely try to force my topic off topic and pretty much ignore the basis of it's original intention? That's blatant disrespect and that is immoral. Solitaire sucks, I can't stand it. I am very sure of my beliefs, I beleive it is others with the "faith cop out" that are not. And not everything I write is confrontational. Yes, my politics and ect. are not the norm, but is it my fault some people are crazy enough to compare beckett to brown or dogs to cats? (jk about the cat thing.) People just cannot stand someone might disagree with them for good reason and it blows their mind. Lastly, yes I am agnostic and in my original post I asserted that if there's a heaven, only agnostics go there. Of course, such a heaven would be based upon a preconceived notion of God, which cannot possibly be discerned. For this reason, people should not be on their high horses with their faith, because the very God they beleive in would logically be opposed to it. By the way, I am jewish via my mother's blood line, have an italian catholic father, and I am baptized lutheran. Not that any of this means anything, but I get to tell jew jokes. The most disturbing part of this thread was the fact that I was saying that a just god would reward moral people and so "those with faith" respond by being immoral. Absolutely absurd.
April 3, 200422 yr I completely agree that moral people go to heaven. I think non-christians can even get in there. But how is what the people posted immoral at all.
April 3, 200422 yr Author Well, you see, you are entitled to your belief, but you must concede to the generally accepted notion that faith in Jesus secures one's entrance in heaven (for christians), not morality. Nonetheless, to purposely write things off topic/insulting (like "ppfffttt" or "*walks away slowly*") are just disrespectful to the author of the topic. Disrespect is immoral, thus people were not acting morally. Furthermore, it is my assertion that faith is inherently immoral, thus my militant stance concerning the issue. If you were convinced stealing is immoral, would you tolerate it? No.
April 3, 200422 yr why do you believe faith is immoral? there are definitely immoral and hypocritical christians(I can't stand these extreme christians who are usually immoral themselves.) But faith immoral I just don't understand.
April 3, 200422 yr Author That's why one should read what I just wrote: http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=craigr...gs&uid=76841214 W.K. Clifford's argument: http://www.infidels.org/library/historical..._of_belief.html I'll try to sum it up for you quickly and let me remind you faith is by far not the worst immorality there is. I can conceive of worse things, but it is immoral nonetheless. Why? Faith is the acquiring of belief without evidence or logic. The very process of acquiring beliefs in every other arena of life aside from religion requires both evidence and logic. Therefore, to acquire beliefs in an inadequate manner is immoral. Now it doesn't sound so bad, how dangerous can a belief not based on evidence or logic be? Well, one such belief is racism, because it has no material or logical base. A society that accepts faith based reliefs opens the door for dangerous illogical beliefs, which is not only contrary to progress, but is also immoral.
April 3, 200422 yr Nonetheless, to purposely write things off topic/insulting (like "ppfffttt" or "*walks away slowly*") are just disrespectful to the author of the topic. Disrespect is immoral, thus people were not acting morally. I don't think they were trying to disrespect you in anyway. Maybe they just don't feel like getting involved because they know that everything they will say to you, you will turn it around and try to make them look stupid and insult them. Think about that. Also, don't you think you're being disrespectful to us and our beliefs when you say, "You Christians" and when you insult us?
April 3, 200422 yr Author I don't think they were trying to disrespect you in anyway. You are totally wrong, it was blatant disrespect. Read your own following quote: Maybe they just don't feel like getting involved because they know that everything they will say to you, you will turn it around and try to make them look stupid and insult them. Think about that. Then just don't reply, it is that simple. I force no one to reply. I was insulted first so I returned the favor. And make people look stupid? If someone feels they are being made to look stupid, maybe they should reevalute their beliefs. Also, don't you think you're being disrespectful to us and our beliefs when you say, "You Christians" and when you insult us? I admit it, I am a very spiteful person, but the spite served a purpose. People refused to treat me like an equal and disrespected me, so I poked fun at the irony of being christian and immoral. This actually drove some people to reply to the subject at hand, some is better than none. Now that I think of it, I should of wrote, "Guys, please don't be disrespectful and choose to reply at the subject at hand or not reply at all." However, I have learned some stupid crap in life. Act like you can be walked over and people WILL walk over you. By letting people disrespect me and only pleading with them to do it back, I appear weak and the same will only continue. This to me is unacceptable. So that might of been the diplomatic thing to do and possibly the right thing, but even that I cannot be sure of. Seriously, I have had it with writing intelligent well thought out beliefs and receiving disrespectful replies, concerning the length of what I write, the decision to not read what I write, or the decision to choose not to even consider what I write and dogmatically reassert one's own belief. By not treating one like an equal, you disrespect someone. I treat everyone here equally, no matter who you are, like you or not, I will intelligently agree or disagree with something. I'm not afraid of voicing my opinion to a mod, to different sexes, religions, or ethnicities, you are all human beings and the most honest thing I can do is give you my honest opinion. Of course this has led to claims of me being a racist, close minded, inflammitory, and ect. One fun is a political discussion forum without dealing with the socioeconomic issues at hand? How is one person disagreeing with someone some how less close minded than the other? How is someone inflammitory when it takes other people to disrespect someone because their beliefs are challenged? A great example of this was the old religion topic, which has about 180 posts in it I believe. I, being very competent and consistant with my beliefs did not feel assaulted by opposing beliefs, but this was not the case for others. Das Texan eventually brought in the big guns, philosophical arguments for the existence of God. I very intelligently disproved most of them aside from the Cosmological argument (which I agree with), and you know what happened? It fell on deaf ears, willingly deaf ears. Very sound and precise counter arguments were treated like they never existed. Then I get to hear brilliant counter arguments like, "You will never change my mind." Fine, maybe I won't, but how does that justify you being close minded and admitting very obvious flaws in your belief system? People are scared, scared of knowing that they can be wrong. Is that my fault some how? I'm a registered republican and I might be the most vocal Bush opposer here (wll, maybe Lcyberlina is...), I have intelligently sat down and evaluated issues which I deem important (Global warming, socioeconomic issues, and religion), and I keep a very open mind about things. I might not sound it, because I am very confident with my beliefs, but I usually read and analyze people's posts word from word. After all you wrote a response to me, the least I can do is read what you wanted me to see. And so that elicits a response, at times as long as this one. So why do people hold it against me when something is so long? That just means I took your opinion more seriously. I have no idea where the hell this response has went, but I'm sure the preceding is important. Just so those who read this far understand, I am very intolerant of what I find immoral, which includes killing, faith, stealing, racism, and ect. That is why I am very vocal about these things, it is my only way to vent in an absurd world where immorality is rampid. So have a good day, Craig
April 3, 200422 yr I still don't think it was meant as disrespect, but take it as you wish. Good day.
April 3, 200422 yr Author holy s***, this is exactly what I am talking about. And news flash miri, writing back irrelevant crap on purpose IS disrespect, end of story.

April 4, 200422 yr Author Lack of respect, esteem, or courteous regard so tell me how being irrelevant is disrespectful It implies that someone is not worth regarding, and a lack of regard is disrespect. If you have nothing to say about an opinion don't right anything back, don't openly flaunt your desire to make my opinion irrelevant. DISRESPECT.
