Vargas had it going tonight....

Sweet Baby Ray and Sea Bass have got to atleast hit the ball with men on base

if you make an out, thats fine.... but hit the freakin ball

Penny got unlucky tonight

good job by the pen

it happens.

what did penny give up?

that 2 run shot?

you gotta score with the bases loaded.

i didnt see or hear the game....just followed on teh net....so i'm not sure exactly what happened.

I'm not worried about Sea Bass too much....god I feel dirty...he is hitting the ball hard from what I'm reading.

Castro may turn into Rob Deer.

i like how penny lost weight. many scouts thought if he lost some weight he'd pitch better, which he will.

yea Sea Bass had some good hacks today.... that being said, i have no clue why i ripped him above....

Penny also gave up a solo shot to Cabrera

even with givign up 3 runs....

if you get at least one run when the bases are loaded....

we are still playing at the very least.

you have to convert in those situations with runs.

castro may end up being the weak link in this lineup....

i actually wouldnt be shocked if him and sea bass ultimately flip flop.

Good pitching for a second night for our starters....and no wins to show for it.

We need better run support. Choi is leading the way.

Looking for the bats to heat up tomorrow for Dontrelle. He always seems to get the runs when he needs them.

Will see you at the stadium.

It's strange that Jack keeps AGon at the 8 spot... He has no patience and he doesn't make nearly enough contact. With that said, he did smoke some balls tonight, so I think he'll be OK, but lack of contact still worries me, especially with Castro and AGon back to back. Also worried a tiny bit about Benitez missing high so often yesterday. Still 161-1 is a good record.

Well, I didn't see the game, I followed it on my phone, but from what I saw, we need to start cashing in with the bases loaded. That's three times in two days we've loaded them up with less than 2 down and failed to even put the ball in play, that's a big chance to cash in and we haven't. It's only two games so I'm not worried, Castro'll get it going and Penny'll settle down.

And Choi is looking good so far...

Solid effort by the team. I was there and I enjoyed the game.

The positives far outweights the negatives:

- Solid performance by Penny

- Choi continues to be solid

- Lowell seeing the ball very well

- Solid D all around

- Bullpen holds its own

- Sea Bass making solid contact

Negatives

- Too many mens left on the bases

Choi hit a liner down the 1st base line that would've been an extra base hit for sure if the 1st baseman werent hugging the line.

and dont forget Conine absolutely smoked a ball to dead center but Bergeron and his invisible horse tracked it down

What are you talking about Castro being the weak link?!

He hit a Monster Foul HR that was 5 feet from the Left Foul post.

Give him some more time.

It happens...I mean this happened in like 75% of the losses it seems like last year. Need JP and Castillo to start gettin on more for those middle guys to knock in runs. STEAL BASES too.

Right now I think the only thing that needs to be worked on is cashing in with runners on. Let JP and Luis start stealing, neither of them have tried yet and also where are all the bunts from last year. Overall if our starting pitching can keep this up all year then we will be just fine.

I say that Castro and Gonzo are going to be the weakest links in our lineup. I'm just hoping Castro has a decent season, .270 avg. for gonzo, that'd be a .260avg. If we get that out of those two, we'll be fine. :hat
