I dont know man a Red Wings fan spit on and yelled "HOW MANY TIME HAVE YOU MADE THE PLAYOFFS!? WE'RE THE BEST EVER!" at a Preds fan here in Nashville as my wife and I were leaving Sunday's Stanley Cup Playoff game. In my opinion the Wings fans are the worst I've encountered.

First and foremost. You may want to belittle the Marlins fans as much as you want, but your statements have no base. Do you even know what the attendance was for the 1997 team? No, I guess you don't. Marlins fans are constantly ripped for being "unsuportive" but I think this is unfair. This is a very young team and our fan base can't be compared to the Cubs or Red Sox, who have been around for more than two decades. When the team was starting to build a decent fan base and won the World Series, do you know what happened? They dismantled the team and broke the hearts of thousands of people who just didn't have it in them to believe in baseball again after that. So when I hear the "Miami fans suck" I just say "f*** you!" see if you would like your team dismantled.

 

For your information, Attendance doubled since last season and if the owners don't betray us like in the past, we will probably triple it next year... So good luck with your Yankees.

I'm not saying you guys are sucky marlins fans, you care enough about them to post and stuff. But Florida and the miami areas is very populated and you cannot sell a lot of tickets. Sorry, but that says something about the fan abse, especially when you just won a world series and your tickets are probably a fraction of a price a NY ticket is.

The best fans I have come across are Pirate fans. That may have something to do with most of them being from Pennsylvania and I've never met a Pennsylvanian that I didn't like. They are knowledgable fans of not only the Pirates but of all baseball. And they support their team and handle the team's failures with a type of light-heartedness that you'll never see from any other fan base.
