April 15, 200422 yr yes. your local tv contract should pick that game up. it just sucks if you are a heat fan not living in south florida and in an area without that station.
April 15, 200422 yr OK folks...here is how this will work. April Opponent Time1* Local TV National TV 18 Sun New Orleans First Round 7:00 pm -- TNT 21 Wed New Orleans First Round 8:00 pm -- NBATV 24 Sat @ New Orleans First Round 1:00 pm -- TNT 27 Tue @ New Orleans First Round 8:00 pm -- TNT 30 Fri New Orleans if necessary TBD -- -- May Opponent Time1* Local TV National TV 2 Sun @ New Orleans if necessary TBD -- -- 4 Tue New Orleans if necessary TBD -- -- Sunshine has not yet announced it's local TV schedule for games. NBA TV is available on DirecTV, Dish Network, and Digital Cable and will air the game outside of South Florida to a national audience. I believe TNT will also since Sunshine should have exclusivity in SoFla in the first round.
April 15, 200422 yr I don't know why NBA started doing this. They never did it a few years back. I remember TBS had playoffs games.

April 15, 200422 yr I don't know why NBA started doing this. They never did it a few years back. I remember TBS had playoffs games. $$$$$$$$$ NBA TV is what CNNSI turned into when TNT and NBA signed the new deal. TBS stuff went to ESPN and NBC stuff went to ABC.

TBS stuff went to ESPN and NBC stuff went to ABC.Isn't TBS the sister company of TNT? ABC sucks. They will never come close to NBC. Announcers aren't as good and the music sucks. You can't beat the NBA on NBC theme.

April 15, 200422 yr yes, but TBS and NBC didn't want to pay and were happy with doing with what they have. ABC's coverage is better to me than NBC's. I cannot stand Albert, I like Al Michaels (will call this year's finals), Nessler and Munsberger for basketball.
April 16, 200422 yr wouldnt cbs4 get sundays game? i mean, they signed on for like 5-8 games this year and youd think they would jump at having a playoff game on the station dont worry everybody, all the heat games will be on UPN33, CBS4, or sunshine
April 16, 200422 yr UPN 33 and CBS 4 no longer have a contract with the Heat. It has expired after the regular season was over. From now on...it's all Sunshine, ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, TNT, or NBATV

I remember TBS had playoffs games. $$$$$$$$$ NBA TV is what CNNSI turned into when TNT and NBA signed the new deal. TBS stuff went to ESPN and NBC stuff went to ABC. :thumbup I remember when every single playoff game was nationally televised. That was gangsta. Oh well I'm not gonna argue with like 90%!
April 16, 200422 yr NBC sucked for basketball coverage. ABC isnt much better. At least ABC got rid of some of the garbage that NBC had. The Snapper being one name coming to mind. NBA is all about the Benjamins and screwed a number of people over last year when they moved games to NBATV when the majority of people int he nation didnt get the station in a power move to force cable companies to carry the channel and make them look like hte bad guys...instead of hte NBA trying to push their channel at a premium rate. I despise ESPN largely because of that idiot called Stephen A Smith that is on their show. TNT should do the draft again. ESPN sucks during it...due in large to their analyists having little to no clue.
April 16, 200422 yr So there's still a chance it could be on Sunshine because that would REALLY suck yeah I'm sick of listening to Eric Reid his voice is driving me bonkers my favorite thing about watching local teams play on national TV is because change is good, unless we're talking about the Marlins
April 17, 200422 yr Apparently, all home games in the first round are being split between Sunshine and Channel 33, so the national telecasts will be blacked out locally.
