miami15
When the Marlins hit their 12th hit of the game we (me, Heckeroo, and FishFan33) had a sense of urgency. After Alfonseca stunk up the joint, we realized that this was a once in a lifetime occasion. We had the chance to leave the game early, with a 7-3 lead, and get to the Krispy Kreme on 167th street before the line became outrageous. After sprinting out to the car and driving to the KK we hit the drivethru. When we asked the employee about the redemption of Marlin tickets for a dozen doughnuts, she said she had to ask the manager. We realized we had become the first people ever to turn in Marlins tickets for doughnuts. And for the record FishFan33 was the first to eat the doughnut. It was perfect execution, because after 3 heartbreaking 11 hit games, we had our opportunity and we took advantage of it.

Yeah, we thought about staying, but we didn't miss much (or did we?) and we were sick of sitting through 11 hit games, so this was our real chance. Plus, you have to redeem your tix in the next 24 hrs and I don't live near KK and I can't go to the game tommorow night, so this was it. Prime Time
I would love to see what the manager said, he/she must have been cursing.
Shaq-Man
just curious, but what was the regular price of those 12 donuts?
miami15
I would love to see what the manager said, he/she must have been cursing. When we told the lady behind the drivethrough counter that there was going to be a huge crowd, she seemed a little disappointed. I bet at that KK right now there are more than 500 people there. miami15
just curious, but what was the regular price of those 12 donuts? Yeah, I forgot to look but I was guessing around 3.49 or so. I was talking about it before the trip but I forgot to check.

Malman
If everyone pick's up their donuts it'll be $123,678 wasted in free donuts... It won't be wasted $ - the amount of publicity and potential future sales will make the promotion well worth it for KK. BTW - there is KK in West Broward on the corner of Nob Hill and McNabb. Admin
If everyone pick's up their donuts it'll be $123,678 wasted in free donuts... It doesn't cost them as much to produce them as it does to sell them.

But there is like only 1 Krispy Kreme in all of Miami for all I know! But that gave me a hankerin for Krispy Kreme - so I went down and got em Hot and Now... TarHeel324
dont call us bandwagoners. im pretty sure that between me, miami15 and heck, weve been to 100+ marlins games between the last year and this year and weve been goin to games together for a while. this was the first time they had ever done this, and we took advantage of that. were pioneers
