Has anyone been to Pac Bell? I'll be in San Francisco for business later this week and just purchased a tix to see the Fish on Friday night! :thumbup

Any suggestions re the Bay Area?

Hopefully you have decent seats. When I went I was in the Upper deck and it was hard to catch the game because people kept walking up and down the stairs which blocked my view of home plate and the whole game I had to look like directly right because the angle of the seats faces out toward CF. If you go to Chinatown, Sam Woh's is the spot.

Did you call Joe Rose this morning?

Nope, wasn't me...

I'm assuming Dontrelle will be on the mound Friday night at "SBC." Should be awesome.

I'll try to hit the Cliff House and Sam Woh's as well.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Good eating at the Cliff House - plus it's right on the Pacific for spectacular sunsets.

There's a better restaurant right by the cliffhouse. Just walk up the hill about 100-200 feet and the next restaurant you come by is called "Louie's", a bit of a wait but it's good.

At Pac Bell Park, the most popular concession stand is the Garlic fries stand (located throughout the park), but best unique thing (Not including hot dogs, sausages, fast food places that are in most parks), is Orlando's BBQ behind the centerfield scoreboard.

Golden Gate Park Have most people outside of Northern California heard of golden gate park?

The most popular things for outsiders here are:

Alcatraz

the Bridges

Fisherman's Warf

The Cable Car's

Chinatown

And about the concessions at SBC park, if you get a hot dog, don't get it from the regular stand but from one of the portable stands. For the ice cream or hot chocolate, get it from the ghiradhelli stand under the bleachers.

And when you enter, enter through the "Seals Entrance", on the opposite corner of the main entrance/ Willie Mays Placa. There are lines on the other three entrances, especially the " entrance (although you should stop by to see the statue of the greatest player of all time). unless you get there about an hour before the game starts, because that's when the ferry from Oakland arives. If that's the case, enter from the "Lefty O' Doul" or "Third Street Entrance"

hope this helps :thumbup
